Strange - Worrisome: ALL DC Air Space to 99,000 Feet CLOSED Until Further Notice

A Temporary Flight Restriction Notice has gone out via a Notice to Air Missions (NOTAM) closing off all air space around Washington DC from surface to 99,000 feet, until further notice. This type of all-encompassing closure simply does not happen. Something big is up.

As seen below, this closure is for "National Defense Airspace."

I received this from a listener who is a private pilot in Virginia. He told me:

"I'm a private pilot that checks weather, TFR's and NOTAMS every day. I live in Central Virginia, and fly often. This TFR that popped up for DC for today 9/27/24 is unprecedented. Surface to 99,000MSL. I have never seen this in all the years I've been flying. Usually, TFR is surface to 18,000 feet MSL. Why the change? Are they expecting something? Day 361 of the war: On Tuesday evening, Iran fired around 180 ballistic missiles targeting central and southern Israel in retaliation for the killing of Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah on Friday and a senior Iranian general in Beirut., setting off approximately 1,864 warning sirens nationwide. Three impacts were confirmed, with three people sustaining minor injuries in Tel Aviv. Israeli sources stated, "What Iran has experienced from Israel so far is a fraction of what's to come." In response to the security situation, 13,000 volunteers from readiness units will be immediately deployed across Israel. The IDF spokesperson updated that at this stage, no additional threats from Iran are detected in Israeli airspace, with only isolated impacts reported in central and other southern areas of the country. The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps announced, "We launched hundreds of missiles at the heart of the occupied territories in response to the assassination of Nasrallah and Abbas Nilforoushan (the Iranian general eliminated in the Dahieh attack)."The IDF spokesperson made his fourth statement of the evening, noting that "the fire was more extensive, with few impacts and few casualties."Hagari added, "At this stage, we do not identify additional threats from Iran in the airspace. The Iranian ballistic missile attack on Tuesday marked a significant escalation in the conflict, particularly due to the strategic sites targeted by Tehran. The Iranians attempted to strike key locations such as airports and the Dimona area, fully aware that their imprecise missiles could impact civilian areas.

The attack largely failed, causing few injuries as most missiles were intercepted. This success was attributed to the strong coordination between Israel's Air Force, its aerial defenses and the U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM).

Israel must now consider escalating its response—not only due to the attempt to target strategic sites with missiles carrying nearly one-ton warheads but also because of the deliberate effort to provoke and incite panic within the country.

This marked Iran's second direct attack on Israel, with Tehran claiming to have targeted military air bases and radar systems in an attempt to disable Israel's defenses. Iran has now become a primary focus for Israel, much like Gaza, Lebanon and the West Bank.

Iran’s leadership likely anticipates an Israeli response, carefully planning its next move. The attack came as Tehran faced criticism for seemingly abandoning its proxies and weakening its regional axis. The recent assassinations of Hamas leader Ismail Haniyeh in Tehran, Hezbollah chief Hassan Nasrallah in Beirut and an Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) commander in Lebanon have severely damaged Iran’s standing.

Israel’s strike on Houthi-controlled Hodeidah in Yemen on Sunday could signal a potential retaliatory strike on Iran, possibly targeting its nuclear or oil facilities. Iran’s economy is heavily dependent on oil and gas exports. Israel’s measured response to the Iranian missile attack in April left Tehran uncertain about what happened to its Russian-made S-300 aerial defense systems, which protected key sites like the Natanz nuclear facility and Isfahan airport.

However, even as Israel seeks to increase its deterrence, it must weigh U.S. concerns about avoiding a broader regional war. Striking Iran’s nuclear facilities could go against both Israeli and American interests. Such an attack might push Iran to accelerate its nuclear ambitions and trigger a full-scale conflict.

As a result, Israel is likely to choose a response that Washington would deem appropriate, legitimate and measured, while addressing the ballistic missile strike. Israel’s broader interest lies in concluding this chapter to focus on Lebanon and its other fronts.

Iranian FM: Our attack on Israel was in self-defense

Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi on Tuesday claimed that Iran’s ballistic missile attack on Israel was self-defense.

In a post on social media site X, Araqchi also said Iran would not attack Israel again, unless Israel “invites further retaliation”.

“Earlier this evening, we exercised self-defense under Article 51 of the UN Charter, targeting solely military and security sites in charge of genocide in Gaza and Lebanon,” claimed the Iranian Foreign Minister.

“We did so after exercising tremendous restraint for almost two months, to give space for a ceasefire in Gaza,” he continued.

Araqchi then warned, “Our action is concluded unless [the] Israeli regime decides to invite further retaliation. In that scenario, our response will be stronger and more powerful.”

“Israel's enablers now have a heightened responsibility to rein in the warmongers in Tel Aviv instead of getting involved in their folly,” he stated.

Biden to Provide US Hurricane Victims Pennies Compared to Proxy Wars

The US government prioritizes foreign entities over their own citizens. President Joe Biden and his handlers have pledged over $17 BILLION to Ukraine, Taiwan, and Israel in the past week alone. Meanwhile, Joe Biden has already gone on record to tell American hurricane victims that they should not expect any additional resources from the federal government. “We’ve given everything that we have,” Biden unsympathetically said.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky abruptly visited America ahead of the election to beg for additional aid before the end of the federal fiscal year on September 30. He walked away with over $8 billion, including $5.6 billion in weapons and $2.4 billion worth of aid. Joe Biden enacted the Presidential Drawdown Authority, which allowed him to draw additional weapons from stockpiles that were meant to help allies in an emergency. He has used this countless times but most recently pledged $375 million in military supplies for Ukraine.

Not to be outdone, Israel received $8.7 billion from the United States in the past week. The package includes $5.2 billion to secure Israel’s air defense systems and $3.5 billion for essential wartime procurement. Incredible that the US government can pledge billions to secure the Iron Dome while completely ignoring its own borders.

Our Commander in Chief has sent about 3,000 troops to the Middle East, according to the Pentagon. There are already 40,000 soldiers positioned in the region, although Kamala Harris insisted during the debate that this marked the first time that US soldiers have not been deployed to foreign wars.

Then President Joe Biden approved $567 million in defense support for Taiwan on Sunday as countless states were being swept away by Hurricane Helene. Let’s involve America in another war as the nation is distracted and grappling with tragedy. The specifics regarding this package remain vague, but rest assured it is moving the US in the neocon’s intended direction.

Imagine if these resources were invested domestically. This is a mere fraction of what the federal government has provided to these three nations and will continue to provide so long as a neocon remains in power. We have seen this happen countless times with other natural disasters at home, such as fires in Maui, where the people received a small one-time payment of $700 after losing absolutely everything. The government no longer needs to pretend to care about its citizens as people continue to vote for AMERICA LAST policies.

Scholars Have Been Warning Of A Great End Times War In The Middle East For Decades. Now It Is Here.

For as long as any of us have been alive, those that study the Bible have been warning us that there would be an apocalyptic war in the Middle East in the end times. Personally, I have specifically warned about this war in many of my books. Now a great end times war is playing out in the Middle East right in front of our eyes, but a lot of people out there still don’t seem to get it. This isn’t just another war in the Middle East. What we are witnessing is the final showdown between Israel and Iran.

On Tuesday, Iran shocked the entire world when it fired large numbers of missiles into Israel. The following comes from CNN…

Missiles have been launched from Iran toward Israel and sirens are sounding across the country, according to a statement from Israel’s military.

CNN teams on the ground in multiple locations across Israel have observed dozens of missiles flying above them. Some have been intercepted by Israel’s air defenses, although it is not clear how many.

There are conflicting reports about the exact number of missiles that were fired at Israel.

But everyone seems to agree that “hundreds” of missiles were in the air, and videos posted on social media appear to show many of them making impact.

Iran is claiming that 80 percent of their missiles made it through, and the IDF is admitting that at least some of the missiles were not intercepted…

Iran’s state TV claimed that 80 percent of their missiles launched at Israel hit their target. It’s unclear exactly what the targets were.

Israeli army spokesman Rear Adm. Daniel Hagari said the country’s air defense system was fully operational, detecting and intercepting threats.

‘However, the defense is not hermetic,’ he noted.

Just prior to Iran’s attack, the White House warned that there would be “severe consequences” if Iran launched missiles at Israel…

White House and Defense Department had warned earlier that Iran was preparing to launch ballistic missiles at Israel.

“We are actively supporting defensive preparations to defend Israel against this attack. A direct military attack from Iran against Israel will carry severe consequences for Iran,” a senior White House official told NBC News.

So what will those “severe consequences” look like?

Is the Biden administration about to fire missiles at Iran?

The Israelis are also promising to respond “in the place and the time we determine”, but we don’t know any specifics at this stage.

If the Israelis strike back at Iran, and I am entirely convinced that they will, the Iranians are warning that they will launch a “crushing attack”…

“Should the Zionist regime respond to Iran’s operation, it will face crushing attack,” said the IRGC, Iran’s paramilitary organization.

This is not going to end well, but most of you already knew that.

Just before Iranian missiles were launched on Tuesday, there was a horrifying terror attack in Jaffa that resulted in the deaths of eight people…

Eight people were killed and at least seven wounded, as well as a dog, in a shooting terror attack in Jaffa, in central Israel, on Tuesday evening, Magen David Adom reported.

At least four people were reported critically wounded. Magen David Adom announced that the incident involved multiple causalities.

The shooting occurred near a light rail station in the central Israeli city. Two terrorists who were observed exiting the train were shot dead by security forces.

We should expect to see a lot more terror attacks in the days ahead.

Now that IDF forces have entered southern Lebanon, there is no turning back. Israeli Rear Admiral Daniel Hagari is characterizing the incursions into southern Lebanon as “localized raids”, but everyone realizes that this is just the beginning.

So far, it is unclear how much success Israeli troops are having in southern Lebanon.

There were reports that Israeli forces successfully entered a number of villages in southern Lebanon, but Al Jazeera insists that the IDF is encountering “fierce resistance” from Hezbollah militants…

Ali Rizk, a security and political affairs analyst based in Beirut, says Israeli troops attempted to “overwhelm” Hezbollah fighters in southern Lebanon late last night but were repelled and forced to withdraw.

“What the Israeli side might be doing is a propaganda war when they speak about successfully entering Lebanese territory. So this might be part of an Israeli psychological war, which wouldn’t be the first time they resort to such tactics,” Rizk told Al Jazeera.

“We’ll have to see how the ground invasion unfolds. But – according to a source with ties to Hezbollah – the Israelis did meet fierce resistance in the late hours of last night. It does appear this is not going to be an easy battle for Israel, even if Hezbollah has lost its leader and senior military commanders. That still leaves Hezbollah to be a formidable foe to inflict heavy costs on the Israelis in their ground invasion.”

Right now we are in the early hours of fighting, and so we may not get a fully accurate picture of what is transpiring on the ground for a while.

But without a doubt this is going to be far different from what we witnessed in Gaza.

Hezbollah is far more powerful than Hamas was, and Hezbollah has much more powerful allies.

Following the overnight raids into southern Lebanon, Israeli officials “called on residents in more than 20 areas in southern Lebanon to evacuate their homes”…

Following the overnight raids, IDF officials this morning called on residents in more than 20 areas in southern Lebanon to evacuate their homes, signalling more ground operations were imminent.

‘The IDF (Israeli military) does not want to harm you, and for your own safety you must evacuate your homes immediately.

‘Anyone who is near Hezbollah members, installations and combat equipment is putting his life in danger,’ army spokesman Avichay Adraee said on X.

This seems to indicate that Israeli forces will soon be attempting to move into those areas.

Of course Hezbollah sees this as an “invasion”, and Hezbollah officials have warned over and over again that an “invasion” of southern Lebanon will mean all-out war.

And now that hundreds of missiles have been fired into Israel, it appears that the Iranians and the Israelis are on the verge of all-out war too.

We have been warned that this was coming for decades, and now it is here.

A great end times war in the Middle East has begun, and it isn’t going to be pretty.

Dockworkers at ports from Maine to Texas go on strike, a standoff risking new shortages

PHILADELPHIA (AP) — Dockworkers at ports from Maine to Texas began walking picket lines early Tuesday in a strike over wages and automation that could reignite inflation and cause shortages of goods if it goes on more than a few weeks.

The contract between the ports and about 45,000 members of the International Longshoremen’s Association expired at midnight, and even though progress was reported in talks on Monday, the workers went on strike. The strike affecting 36 ports is the first by the union since 1977.

Workers began picketing at the Port of Philadelphia shortly after midnight, walking in a circle at a rail crossing outside the port and chanting “No work without a fair contract.”

The union had message boards on the side of a truck reading: “Automation Hurts Families: ILA Stands For Job Protection.”

Local ILA president Boise Butler said workers want a fair contract that doesn’t allow automation of their jobs.

Shipping companies made billions during the pandemic by charging high prices, he said. “Now we want them to pay back. They’re going to pay back,” Butler said.

He said the union will strike for as long as it needs to get a fair deal, and it has leverage over the companies.

On September 25th, the first domestic photonic chip pilot line built by the Wuxi Photonic Chip Research Institute of Shanghai Jiao Tong University was officially launched. After the pilot line becomes operational, it is expected to reach an annual production capacity of 10,000 wafers. The first PDK will be released in the first quarter of 2025, providing external chip fabrication services.

The photonic chip pilot platform covers an area of 17,000 square meters, integrating research, production, and services. It is equipped with more than 100 top-tier international CMOS process machines, supporting a full closed-loop process for lithium niobate photonic chips, from lithography, thin film deposition, etching, wet processing, cutting, measurement, to packaging. The platform also supports other material systems like silicon and silicon nitride.

Jinan Achieves World’s First 12-Inch Lithium Niobate Crystal

in May of this year, Shandong Hengyuan Semiconductor Technology Co., Ltd. in Jinan successfully developed a 12-inch (300mm diameter) large-sized optical-grade lithium niobate crystal.

Shandong Hengyuan Semiconductor has been dedicated to the R&D of optoelectronic materials such as lithium niobate and lithium tantalate, as well as piezoelectric materials. Through technological advancements, the company has started mass production of 6-8 inch Z-axis and X-axis optical-grade lithium niobate crystals. Within three years, Hengyuan plans to increase its annual wafer production to 250,000 units.

Chinese Scientists Develop Mass-Produced New “Optical Silicon” Chips

In early May, the research team led by researcher Ou Xin at the Shanghai Institute of Microsystem and Information Technology, Chinese Academy of Sciences, made a breakthrough in the preparation of lithium tantalate heterogeneously integrated wafers and high-performance photonic chips. They successfully developed a new type of “optical silicon” chip that can be mass-produced. The research results were published in Nature on May 8th.

Tsinghua University Team Releases AI Photonic Chip

In August, Tsinghua University announced that the research group led by Professor Fang Lu from the Department of Electronic Engineering and the team led by Academician Dai Qionghai from the Department of Automation pioneered a fully forward intelligent optical computing training architecture. They developed the “Taiji-II” optical training chip, enabling efficient and precise training of large-scale neural networks in optical computing systems. This research, titled “All-Forward Training of Optical Neural Networks,” was published in Nature.

The previously released Taiji-I, in April, achieved 879 T MACS/mm²area efficiency and 160 TOPS/W energy efficiency, marking the first time optical computing was applied to complex AI tasks such as natural scene recognition with thousands of categories and cross-modal content generation.

Chinese Team Successfully Develops Fully Programmable Topological Photonic Chip

In late May, the “Extreme Optics Innovation Research Team” from Peking University’s School of Physics, in collaboration with Researcher Yang Yan from the Institute of Microelectronics, Chinese Academy of Sciences, proposed and realized a fully programmable topological photonic chip based on large-scale integrated optics.

The chip built on a reconfigurable integrated optical micro-ring array, integrates 2,712 components in an area of just 11mm x 7mm. It successfully achieved the world’s first fully programmable optical artificial atomic lattice. The researchers also experimentally validated multiple topological phenomena on a single-chip platform, including dynamic topological phase transitions, multi-lattice topological insulators, statistical topological robustness, and Anderson topological insulators.

Ukraine's Army Is In Bad Shape, Over Half Of Recruits Survive Just For A Few Days

The Ukrainian army is suffering from a steady decline in the capabilities of its front-line units, according to Polish news outlet Do Rzeczy, citing a report in the London Financial Times that between 50 and 70 percent of recruits survive only a few days on the frontlines.

Training standards were reportedly so poor that not all of them knew how to hold a weapon. Furthermore, the depletion of the number of men considered fit to fight means that the average age of recruits now stands at 45.

The report follows a statement by Ukrainian Armed Forces Commander-in-Chief Oleksandr Syrskyi, who was appointed in early February. Syrsky said that recruits were consistently lacking the necessary training for frontline operations. Lamenting the sheer technological superiority of Russian forces, he said that personnel had received just two months of training, although other sources indicated that the training time was much shorter.

Meanwhile, Military Watch Magazine has said that poor training standards in frontline units have repeatedly emerged over the past two years, and back in mid-2023, the Wall Street Journal even reported that the Ukrainian army was recruiting poor men from the countryside, equipping them with Soviet-era rifles and uniforms, and then sending them to the front after just two nights at a base.

When some of the conscripts tried to sign a waiver, citing a lack of proper training, a Ukrainian sergeant replied, “Bakhmut will teach you,” referring to the frontline city that was then the epicenter of the fighting.

One of the conscripts recalled protesting that he had never held a gun before. The Wall Street Journal had written that such poorly trained and equipped men were necessary, as Western-trained and better-equipped brigades would be needed for the upcoming offensive.

Since the beginning of June 2023, multiple offensives have resulted in extensive losses and further increased Kyiv’s reliance on conscripts.

In the meantime, Ukraine has even reportedly resorted to recruiting convicts.

A senior conscript officer in Ukraine’s Poltava region, Lieutenant Colonel Vitaly Berezhnyon, revealed on September 15, 2023, that the units had suffered huge losses.

“Out of 100 people who joined the units last fall, 10-20 remained, the rest are dead, wounded or disabled,” he said.

This indicates a loss rate of 80-90 percent in conscript units over the past year. Former Ukrainian ambassador to the U.K. and former Foreign Minister Vadym Prystaiko in April pointed to catastrophic personnel losses.

“From the beginning, our policy was not to discuss losses. When the war is over, we will admit it. I think it will be a terrible number,” he noted.

US prepares for drone-on-drone battles at military bases

US military bases will be protected by attack drones, under Pentagon plans to repel Iran-linked groups in the Middle East.

On Monday, Lloyd Austin, the defence secretary, announced that the US would expand its Replicator programme, which has been developing American attack drones to be deployed against China.

A new phase of the programme will focus on defensive drones to be deployed at US installations at home and abroad.

It follows months of drone attacks on US bases in the Middle East by Iran-linked groups, with one killing three troops at a site in Jordan in January.

On Sunday, the latest strike took place at a base at Deir Ezzor in eastern Syria. No group has yet claimed responsibility.

US forces have a variety of defences against the so-called “suicide drones”, which are packed with high explosives and flown into military compounds.

The existing defences include electronic jamming devices and anti-aircraft machine guns.

Monday’s announcement suggests the Pentagon expects drone battles to become commonplace around US bases in the coming years.

The defensive drones could also be deployed around US Navy carrier groups, but a list of possible sites has not yet been compiled, a defence official told The Telegraph.

In a memo on Monday, Mr Austin said that “the next stage of Replicator will tackle the warfighter priority of countering the threat posed by small uncrewed aerial systems to our most critical installations and force concentrations”.

He added: “The expectation is that Replicator 2 will assist with overcoming challenges we face in the areas of production capacity, technology innovation, authorities, policies, open system architecture and system integration, and force structure.”

Mr Austin said that the first phase of Replicator, which was tasked with producing drone swarms that could be deployed against China in the event of an invasion of Taiwan, was “on track” to be completed next summer.

he second phase will begin after Congress has approved funding for the project in the Pentagon’s next budget request in March. The first drones could be deployed two years later, Mr Austin said.

Protecting US troops in the Middle East against attack drones has become one of the Pentagon’s top priorities, after a year of conflict that followed Hamas’s Oct 7 attack on Israel.

A variety of Iran-linked Islamist groups have targeted US forces in Syria, Iraq and Jordan since then, viewing the conflict as an opportunity to push Western forces out of those countries.

Following the death of three US troops in an attack in January, the US launched retaliatory strikes against several groups, launching 125 precision bombs in Iraq and Syria.

The White House said at the time that it “will not hesitate to defend our people and hold responsible all those who harm Americans at a time and place of our choosing”.

US warships come under attack in Red Sea as nearly two dozen incoming missiles and drones shot down

Three U.S. warships came under attack Friday off the coast of Yemen by Iran-backed Houthi rebels, who have disrupted commercial shipping in the region, but no one was hurt, officials said.

The warships shot down nearly two dozen incoming missiles and drones while transiting a narrow entrance into the Red Sea. None of the vessels was hit, and no sailors on board were hurt, a U.S. official told Fox News.

The USS Stockdale and USS Spruance, along with a littoral combat ship, the USS Indianapolis, were transiting the Bab al-Mandab Strait when the naval warships came under attack from a barrage of incoming ballistic missiles, cruise missiles and drones, the officials said.

“We did see a complex attack launched from the Houthis that ranged from cruise missiles and waves,” Pentagon deputy press secretary Sabrina Singh told reporters Friday. “My understanding is that those were either engaged in, shot down or failed.”

The Stockdale and Spruance are part of the USS Abraham Lincoln aircraft carrier strike group that recently arrived in the Middle East from the Pacific.

U.S. forces have struck back at Houthi militants on multiple occasions for nearly a year. The rebel group has routinely attacked commercial and military vessels at sea over Israel’s war against Hamas.

The number of commercial ships passing through the Red Sea has dropped by 90% since the attacks began after the Oct. 7, 2023, massacre in Israel. Since then, U.S. forces in Iraq and Syria have come under attack dozens of times. In January, three American soldiers were killed in Jordan.

The Houthis recently attacked a Greek-flagged oil tanker, which carried four times the amount of oil that spilled from the Exxon Valdez in Alaska’s Prince William Sound in 1989.

No major oil spill occurred, and officials said the fires on board the vessel were contained. The ship was towed into port after being adrift in the Red Sea for days with flames visible on deck.

During her debate with former President Trump, Vice President Harris claimed, “As of today, there is not one member of the United States military who is in active duty in a combat zone in any war zone around the world, the first time this century.”

CNN - Helene continues to unleash its fury across the Southeast after leaving at least 55 people dead in five states, leveling communities, knocking out power and stranding many in floodwaters following the historic storm’s landfall in Florida’s Big Bend region Thursday night as a monstrous Category 4 hurricane. Here’s the latest:

• Dam break no longer imminent: The National Weather Service in Morristown, Tennessee, has extended the flash flood warning for towns and cities immediately below the Nolichucky Dam on the Nolichucky River until 4 p.m. ET on Saturday, as dam operators had reported “excessive water flow” over the dam. The dam had been facing potential imminent breach but no longer is, the Tennessee Emergency Management Agency announced at a noon news conference. The agency worked with Tennessee Valley Authority “to confirm that the Nolichucky is not in that state anymore and that we have no dam failures that are reported at the moment,” TEMA Chief of Staff Alex Pellom said.

• Deaths across 5 states: Over 50 storm-related deaths have been reported in South Carolina, Georgia, Florida, North Carolina and Virginia. At least 19 are dead in South Carolina, including two firefighters in Saluda County, according to state officials. In Georgia, at least 17 people have died, two of them killed by a tornado in Alamo, according to a spokesperson for Gov. Brian Kemp. Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis on Saturday morning raised the number of confirmed dead there to 11, including several people who drowned in Pinellas County. Six more deaths were reported in North Carolina and they include a car wreck on a storm-slick road that killed a 4-year-old girl. And in Craig County, Virginia, one person died in a storm-related tree fall and building collapse, Gov. Glenn Youngkin said Friday.

• FEMA chief sees Florida damage: Federal Emergency Management Agency Administrator Deanne Criswell is on the ground in Florida on Saturday, surveying damage and assessing the need for federal resources. FEMA says it has more than 800 deployed staff supporting states affected by the hurricane. “Our distribution centers are fully stocked and ready to provide commodities and equipment to any impacted state as required,” FEMA said in a release. Among those involved are the Department of Homeland Security, the Coast Guard, the Army Corps of Engineers, and the Salvation Army, the release said. The American Red Cross said at least 1,900 people remained at about 80 shelters after evacuation orders were lifted.

• More rain predicted: Additional rainfall is expected this weekend across portions of the southern Appalachian region. Additional totals of up to 1 inch are expected for areas of western North Carolina, including Asheville, and eastern Tennessee, including Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg. Up to 2 inches is possible for portions of Virginia, Kentucky, Ohio, West Virginia and Pennsylvania through Monday. “Although rainfall amounts will be light, areas that received excessive rainfall from Helene may see isolated aggression of excessive runoff,” the National Weather Service office in Greenville-Spartanburg said Saturday morning.

• Hundreds of roads closed: More than 400 roads remain closed in western North Carolina, the state Department of Transportation said Saturday morning. “All roads in Western NC should be considered closed,” the post on X says. Since Thursday, Buncombe County has received over 5,500 911 calls and conducted more than 130 swift water rescues. Officials warned residents to stay away from the water because of downed power lines, sewage contamination and debris. An emergency shelter is currently serving 400 people at the WNC Agricultural Center near Asheville Regional Airport.

• Water conservation urged: Residents in the Greeneville, Tennessee, area are being urged to conserve as much water as possible after flooding due to heavy rainfall along the Nolichucky River washed out all of the Chuckey Utility District’s water lines crossing the river. Repairs to the water lines are expected to take place “as soon as conditions are safe for everyone,” the utility district said.

• Storm rescue missions underway: Nearly 4,000 National Guardsmen were conducting rescue efforts in 21 counties across Florida, the Defense Department said Friday. North Carolina, Georgia and Alabama have also activated guardsmen. The Biden administration has also mobilized more than 1,500 federal personnel to support communities affected by Helene, Vice President Kamala Harris said Friday.

• Severe flooding in North Carolina: Helene “is one of the worst storms in modern history for parts of North Carolina,” Gov. Roy Cooper said. Western parts of the state were slammed by heavy rains and strong winds bordering on hurricane-strength levels, life-threatening flash flooding, numerous landslides and power outages. More than 200 people have been rescued from floodwaters in North Carolina, according to a Saturday update from the governor. Search and rescue operations remain underway as over 700,000 people across the state remain without power. More than 2 feet of rain fell in the state’s mountainous region from Wednesday morning to Friday morning, with Busick recording a total of 29.58 inches in just 48 hours. In the hard-hit city of Asheville, a citywide curfew was in effect until 7:30 a.m. Saturday, officials said. About 20 miles southwest of Asheville, overwhelming, torrential rainfall was pushing the Lake Lure Dam into “imminent failure,” according to the National Weather Service, but Rutherford County officials said early Saturday the dam is no longer at risk. Engineers controlled the flow rate, according to Rutherford County Emergency Management, but the town is still experiencing cell and internet service issues along with roadways blocked by fallen trees and power lines.

• More than 3 million without power: The remnants of Helene continued to knock out power for several states across the eastern US on Saturday morning, with nearly 3.3 million customers left in the dark in South Carolina, Georgia, North Carolina, Florida and Ohio, according to PowerOutage.us.

• The threat isn’t over: Helene’s remnants will continue to bring rain and gusty winds over hundreds of miles of the East. Multiple states have recorded more than a foot of rain, with at least 14 different flash flood emergencies issued for approximately 1.1 million people in the Southern Appalachians of Western North Carolina and adjacent parts of Tennessee, South Carolina and Virginia. In addition to the rainfall, winds continued to gust 30 to 50 mph over the Ohio and Tennessee Valley regions Friday evening and more than 35 million people were under wind alerts heading into Saturday.

• Dozens rescued from hospital roof in Tennessee: More than 50 people stranded on the roof of Unicoi County Hospital in Erwin, Tennessee, were rescued after rapidly rising waters from Helene made evacuation impossible Friday morning, Ballad Health said.

• Helene disrupts travel and delivery services: Helene has caused numerous disruptions to travel and delivery services. Several Amtrak trains arriving or departing Florida and Georgia have been canceled, the company said. Delivery services were also impacted, with UPS announcing it has suspended service to Florida, North Carolina and Georgia because of the storm. FedEx likewise suspended or limited its service in five states. Water inundated countless roadways across the region, making them impassable. In North Carolina, 290 roads were closed throughout the state, and Gov. Roy Cooper said the state’s transportation department is shutting down even more roadways as severe flooding, landslides and washed-out roads pose serious threats to public safety.

• Helene is now a post-tropical cyclone: Helene – the strongest hurricane on record to slam into Florida’s Big Bend region – is now a post-tropical cyclone with winds of 35 mph, according to the National Hurricane Center. That means Helene no longer has an organized center of circulation and is losing its hurricane-like features. But this change doesn’t alter much of Helene’s overall threat going forward, as Helene will continue to unleash heavy, flooding rainfall and gusty winds. Keith Turi of FEMA warned residents of the dangers remaining from Helene even after it passes. “There are a lot of dangers in those floodwaters, things you can see and sometimes things you can’t see that are going under the surface, and so really you need to stay out of those floodwaters,” Turi told CNN.

Trapped at home: ‘I really don’t know what to do’

Jennifer Replogle, a pregnant mother of two young children, is “completely trapped” at home in Tater Hill, North Carolina, elevation 4,200 feet, above Boone, where hurricanes are not the norm.

“We weren’t prepared for this,” she said via text early Saturday morning. “The roads are gone, like completely gone.”

Power has been out since early Friday, she said.

Replogle said she has no food and is running out of water.

The few narrow, windy roads from the mountain into Boone are impassable, she said.

“Our basement flooded yesterday. If they don’t get somebody to us soon, I really don’t know what to do,” Replogle said.

She is worried about the plumbing and water services business she and her husband own. They have seena a photo of it with the parking lot flooded and fear “we have lost most of everything.”

Their employees are also “trapped” at home or staying with friends, Replogle said.

Florida and Georgia communities devastated

Helene cut a massive path of destruction across Florida, Georgia and the Southeastern US, snapping trees and power lines, and mangling hundreds of homes. As millions were left without essentials like electricity and some with nowhere to return to after the ravaging storm, rescue crews set out to save people trapped in wreckage or underwater.

In Cedar Key, Florida, the devastation is so widespread that it’s not safe enough to allow residents or volunteers back into the small community off the Florida coast, city officials said Friday. The town doesn’t have any sewage water or power, “so there’s really not a whole lot to be able to sustain people being here,” Cedar Key Mayor Sue Colson said.

Scores of historical buildings and new homes have been decimated, while roads were blocked by downed wires and “extremely dangerous” debris, the mayor said. “It’s just a multifaceted mess,” Colson said.

Another small, tight-knit Florida community, Keaton Beach, is picking up the pieces of their lives left behind by the ravages of Helene.

“You look at Keaton Beach … almost every home was destroyed, or the vast majority, and some totally obliterated. It’s because they had such a massive surge that went in there,” Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis said Friday, adding that the storm surge might have been as high as 20 feet.

The town’s Beach Bums gas station was three days away from celebrating the five-year anniversary of its opening when it collapsed, said owner Jared Hunt, who spent the morning helping residents look for personal belongings, salvaging what’s left.

One Keaton Beach resident stood with his wife in front of the wreckage of what used to be their home, wondering where they might go next.

“Man, I just lost my house. I have nowhere else to go,” Eric Church told CNN. “My house is laying here in a pile. It was sitting right there. There are just pillars left in the ground. I got a wife and two dogs with me. What am I supposed to do?”

Church’s wife, Erin Peelar, said the couple had just purchased the home and expected some water from the hurricane, not for the house “to disappear.”

“The house has been here for 75 years and that’s the whole reason we bought it six months ago, having faith it would be here for another 75,” Peelar said.

DeSantis said he believes Hurricane Helene inflicted more damage than Hurricane Idalia in 2023, which at the time was the strongest hurricane to make landfall in Florida’s Big Bend region in more than 125 years.

Over in Georgia, multiple people were trapped after at least 115 structures in the southern city of Valdosta in Lowndes County were heavily damaged by Helene, Gov. Brian Kemp said Friday.

“The damage to our community is substantial and appears much worse than Hurricane Idalia,” the Lowndes County Emergency Management said on its Facebook page.

‘Complete pandemonium’ amid North Carolina floodwaters

Residents of Asheville, North Carolina, described “complete pandemonium” in their city after Helene brought several feet of floodwater and pushed large debris into streets overnight.

Samuel Hayes said he woke up with several calls from his employees telling him about fallen trees on their roofs, water pouring into their homes and mudslides.

“Complete pandemonium around the city,” Hayes told CNN’s Isabel Rosales. “It’s going to take us a long time to clean this up.”

Hayes and another Asheville native, Maxwell Kline, described the River Arts District neighborhood as being inundated with oil-contaminated floodwaters.

“A lot of businesses are completely wrecked … I’ve never seen anything like that since I’ve lived here. It’s absolutely a tragedy,” Kline said.

Gas pumps were down and they lost power, internet and cell phone service for hours, they said. “Can’t get anything right now – no food you can buy, no gas, nothing,” Kline said.

About 25 miles outside of Asheville, a lifelong resident of Hendersonville said she was traumatized by the onslaught of Helene. “I never knew anything like this could happen here,” Avery Dull, 20, told CNN.

Dull and her neighbors were “extremely unprepared” for the deluge, and she saw at least one person busting out of their window, she said. But her apartment is still intact because it’s on the second floor, Dull said.

“Luckily we were on high ground, but those people lost everything,” Dull said. “Half of my neighborhood is underwater and dozens of families are trapped inside of their homes. Cars have been completely submerged and totaled, and power is out across the county.”

Elsewhere in North Carolina, shattered glass, rocks and mud covered one couple’s car after a landslide triggered by Helene came crashing down onto Interstate 40 as they were driving through Black Mountain.

Kelly Keffer said her husband saw something coming from the corner of his eye and then they started to hear pounding on top of the car, so he stepped on the gas. Then, the whole side of the mountain started sliding, Alan Keffer said. Alan thought they would be able to speed past it, but it slid faster than he thought.

Within less than a minute, “the rocks, the dirt, everything hit us. It was scary,” he said. The back window was completely shattered, Kelly said.

In Erwin, Tennessee – just over 40 miles north of Asheville, North Carolina – flooding submerged houses, buildings and roadways.

Erwin resident Nathan Farnor said he evacuated the area on Friday afternoon, when his home was slightly above water level, then he fled to an area a few miles away that is at higher ground.

“The power remains out, and it appears that most businesses, homes, and campgrounds near the river have suffered a total loss,” Farnor said, “Sadly, the situation does not appear to be improving.”

Vladimir Putin’s decision to update Moscow’s nuclear doctrine isn’t a knee-jerk reaction to current events. Unlike, for example, the threat to attack deeper inside Russia with long-range missiles. The changes were flagged by the Russian president several months ago, and from yesterday’s speech we learned that the Strategic Deterrence Commission meets twice a year, which means that the document itself is constantly being re-read and re-thought.

The merits of strengthening nuclear deterrence became clear more than two years ago, when the US declared that its goal – in the Ukraine conflict – is to inflict a strategic defeat on Russia. The West then began its game of escalation. Moscow’s old nuclear doctrine was aimed at other wars and scenarios and proved ineffective at deterring the enemy in the new circumstances.

We will now see the reaction in the West, where unfortunately there are many people in high places who have convinced themselves that Putin is ‘bluffing’, that Russia is ‘afraid to respond’, and that it is therefore possible to behave with impunity toward it. The doctrinal correction is thus essentially a signal to the sober minds that remain in the halls of power in Washington: this is the last warning.

At the same time, there is great anxiety in countries friendly to us – and other simply neutral ones – about the possibility of nuclear war. China may already be thinking about it. Beijing – along with India, Brazil, South Africa, and others – wants an imminent and unconditional end to the hostilities. We need to assure them that strengthening our deterrent is the only way to prevent the general nuclear war to which Washington’s mad and reckless strategy is leading the world.

At the same time, the US has long sought to separate the conflict in Ukraine from discussions of strategic stability and arms control. This would allow it to simultaneously wage war against Russia and obtain guarantees of its own security from Moscow. Understandably, this approach has not been successful. The US has realized this, but it wants to present itself to the international community as a promoter of global security – while framing Russia as an arsonist. It’s a simple trick, but exposing it in the majority countries of the world – I would like to emphasize these words – requires our attention and a concerted effort. The dialogue of trust with our partners must be continued and deepened.

If we are talking about Moscow’s next steps, they are less predictable than the previously announced correction of the nuclear doctrine. They will depend, among other things, on the enemy’s reaction to the president’s remarks yesterday. But it is clear that we will have to move from verbal warnings and demonstrations to practical measures. No one is going to say publicly what kind of action it will entail, and when and where it could happen.

Vladimir Putin has lowered the threshold for when Russia can launch a nuclear strike in a chilling new threat to the West.

The despot, 71, announced yesterday during a meeting of Russia's Security Council that he needed to 'correct' Moscow's nuclear doctrine.

Putin could now deploy his nuclear arsenal if the country was struck with conventional missiles, and the Kremlin chief said Moscow would consider any assault supported by a nuclear power as a joint attack.

He said the conditions for the use of nuclear weapons are 'clearly fixed' and they could consider such a move if 'we receive reliable information about a massive launch of air and space attack assets and them crossing our state border'.

The expansion of the policy comes as Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky arrived in the US to present his 'victory plan' and press the case to use long-range missiles on targets inside Putin's territory.

Putin said Russia reserved the right to use nuclear weapons if it or ally Belarus were the subject of aggression.

'Aggression against Russia by any non-nuclear state, but with the participation or support of a nuclear state, is treated as a joint attack on the Russian Federation,' he said.

Russia is making slow but steady gains in Ukraine as the conflict grinds through its third year, and the Kremlin is seeking to discourage stronger Western support for Kyiv.

Russia's current published nuclear doctrine, set out in a 2020 decree by Putin, says Russia may use nuclear weapons in case of a nuclear attack by an enemy or a conventional attack that threatens the existence of the state.

Ukraine's ambassador Valerii Zaluzhnyi this week issued a fresh plea to use Western long-range weapons to strike Russian territory, saying they are 'critically important' for Kyiv's success.

He warned it was a 'critical time' for allies to show 'fortitude' and 'patience' in bolstering Ukraine's defence, as Foreign Secretary David Lammy urged allies to show 'guts'.

Speaking at the Labour Party conference in Liverpool, Mr Zaluzhnyi insisted that lifting restrictions on the weapons would be crucial to Kyiv's defence.

This week, a devastating nuclear strike on London causing 850,000 deaths with two million injured has been simulated by a staunchly pro-Putin propaganda TV channel.

Broadcasting the four minute video with an English commentary appears to be the latest move in a concerted campaign to scare Britain from giving permission to Ukraine to allow Storm Shadow missiles to hit targets inside Russia.

Putin's propagandists and entourage have repeatedly warned that he could use nuclear weapons.

Longtime FBI staff operations specialist Marcus Allen spoke with Congress on Wednesday, nearly coming to tears as he issued a warning to his countrymen about the dangers they face from the current political establishment.

“This is a warning to the American people,” he began. “I say I personally have no confidence that the FBI will reign in its own conduct. I have been persecuted… along with countless other whistleblowers. It is my opinion that the Bureau used reprisal and fear to control the workforce. It has been a seemingly effective tactic.”

“I personally believe there are no current effective checks and balances against them conducting lawless actions with any type of correction in a legitimate timeframe. I welcome the work of the IG but I think any type of lawless action, there’s no legitimate timeframe to reign them back in,” Allen added.

The FBI whistleblower continued to claim the Bureau intentionally “overclassifies” documents in order to stonewall investigations.

Speaking directly to the American people, Allen asked them to vote even if they distrust the system, arm themselves with guns, connect with neighbors and stock up on supplies such as food and water.

“As a person of faith, I’d say pray the Rosary, go to the First Friday devotions,” he suggested. “That’s for everybody, all my brothers and sisters of all faiths. I know, I’m Catholic. And, read the Gospel of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and live it every day.”

Earlier this year the FBI employee won a court case against the Bureau, forcing it to repay his wages lost during a suspension and reinstating his top level security clearance.

Allen was previously persecuted by the federal government for speaking out about the use of Confidential Human Sources (CHS) during the January 6th demonstration at the U.S. Capitol.

During Wednesday’s Judiciary Subcommittee on Weaponization of the Federal Government hearing, DOJ Inspector General Michael Horowitz finally admitted the agency DID have a number of informants embedded in the J6 crowd.

When Kentucky GOP Rep. Thomas Massie asked Horowitz how many of their moles “went into the Capitol,” the IG said he’d “have that information” in his report instead of stating no informants entered the building.

It’s clear the American political elites are being exposed at a record level, which makes them a danger to the entire country as they’ll sink to any level in order to remain in power.

FCC Fast-Tracks Soros’ Purchase of Second-Largest Radio Conglomerate

I reported earlier in the year that George Soros acquired a 40% stake in Audacy, America’s second-largest radio network with over 220 stations nationwide. The Federal Communications Commission (FCC) has approved the deal and is in collusion with Soros to help him “fast-track” the acquisition right before the presidential election.

The three voting Democrats on the FCC board overpowered the two dissenting Republicans. Law dictates that foreign companies may not own more than 25% of US radio stations. They are not only making an exception for George Soros but helping him to bypass the law.

It typically takes a year for the FCC to conduct a national security review if not longer. This is the first time that the commission is blindly ignoring this regulation and permitting Soros to control the majority of US radio airways.

Some claim that the FCC was permitted to act in this manner due to Audacy falling into bankruptcy. Commissioner Nathan Simington explained to Fox News why this is untrue: “Commission leadership tried to approve the item at the staff level, with nothing but a 48-hour notice to Commissioners on a summer Friday. There is almost no factual record on the item because there was almost no attempt to do a real public interest analysis,” Simington continued. “Not a single Commissioner outside of the Chairwoman was invited to even think about the issue until staff was directed to handle it on our behalf without our votes. New data from US Customs and Immigration Enforcement (ICE) reveals that over 650,000 migrants with criminal histories were let loose in the United States between 'mid-May 2023 through the end of July 2024.'

"As of July 21, 2024, there were 662,566 noncitizens with criminal histories on ICE's national docket, which includes those detained by ICE and on the agency's non-detained docket. Of those, 435,729 are convicted criminals, and 226,847 have pending criminal charges."

ICE called out so-called "sanctuary" cities as part of the problem, noting in their response:

"ICE recognizes that some jurisdictions are concerned that cooperating with federal immigration officials will erode trust with immigrant communities and make it harder for local law enforcement to serve those populations. However, ‘sanctuary’ policies can end up shielding dangerous criminals, who often victimize those same communities."

The letter also stressed DHS' efforts to remove illegals; "From mid-May 2023 through the end of July 2024, DHS removed or returned more than 893,600 individuals, including more than 138,300 individuals in family units. The majority of all individuals encountered at the Southwest Border over the past three years have been removed, returned, or expelled."

40,000 fighters gather in Golan Heights from Iraq, Yemen, and Syria to form coalition against Israel

Around 40,000 fighters from Iraq, Yemen, and Syria have reportedly arrived in the Golan Heights, preparing to confront Israel, according to recent reports.

China successfully carried out a rare launch of an intercontinental ballistic missile (ICBM) into the Pacific Ocean, in a chilling warning shot to the West.

The missile, likely to be the Dongfeng-41 or DF-41, is China's longest-range missile, capable of reaching speeds of up to Mach 25. The DF-41 is China’s most up-to-date ICBM and can hit a target 12,000 kilometres away - while carrying up to ten nuclear warheads.

This comes amid mounting concerns about China's unprecedented nuclear build-up among security officials in the US and Europe

The Chinese Defence Ministry confirmed the launch, saying it was fired from a silo in Hainan and "fell into expected sea areas" in the waters near the French Polynesian islands in the South Pacific.

The ICBM launch, carrying a dummy warhead, was part of a "routine training plan", according to the Chinese government. A spokesperson for the Defence Ministry said the test launch was not directed at any country or target, and that Beijing had "informed the countries concerned in advance".

The DF-41 mega-missile was first publicly displayed in October 2019 during China's 70th Anniversary National Day military parade.

The suggestion that the launch was "routine" has surprised analysts. It is rare for China to fire long-range missiles into the sea as it typically tests them unannounced in isolated areas including the deserts of Inner Mongolia. In fact, it is the first time Beijing has launched a test missile into international waters since 1980.

Drew Thompson, a former US defence official, said: "Timing is everything. This launch is a powerful signal intended to intimidate everyone."

The senior fellow at the Rajaratnam School of International Studies (RSIS) in Singapore believes the timing was "more strategic than tactical".

Mr Thompson added: "[China's] statement claims the launch does not target any country, but there are high levels of tension between China and Japan, Philippines, and of course perpetual tension with Taiwan.

"The launch is a powerful signal intended to intimidate everyone. It’s a signal that China has capabilities beyond what it has already brought to bear. It’s demonstrating that it has acted with a degree of restraint and that there are limits to its forbearance and its tolerance.”

The People's Liberation Army (PLA) Rocket Force, which oversees the country’s conventional and nuclear missiles, has been tasked with modernising China’s nuclear forces.

China is expanding its nuclear arsenal "faster than any other country" and could have as many intercontinental ballistic missiles as the US or Russia by the end of the decade, according to a report in June by the Stockholm International Peace Research Institute (SIPRI).

In a report published last year, the Pentagon estimated that China has more than 500 operational nuclear warheads in its arsenal, of which approximately 350 are ICBMs.

The report also projected that China will reach over 1,000 warheads by 2030, and revealed that China's military is constructing hundreds of silos for land-based ICBMs.

That compares to 1,770 and 1,710 operational warheads deployed by the US and Russia, respectively.

US deploying ‘small number’ of new troops to Middle East, as Israel-Lebanon conflict heats up

The United States is deploying additional troops to the Middle East amid heightened tensions in the region, the Pentagon announced on Monday.

Maj. Gen. Pat Ryder, the Pentagon press secretary, would not provide any details to the Associated Press about how many additional forces Washington would send or what their mission would be, the wire reported.

“In light of increased tension in the Middle East and out of an abundance of caution, we are sending a small number of additional U.S. military personnel forward to augment our forces that are already in the region,” Ryder told the AP. “For operational security reasons, I’m not going to comment on or provide specifics.”

The United States currently has some 40,000 troops in the region, according to the Pentagon. On Monday, the aircraft carrier USS Truman, two destroyers and a cruiser departed from Norfolk, Va., towards the Mediterranean for a scheduled deployment.

The new troop increase is the latest indication that the United States is concerned about a military escalation in the Middle East, with a particular focus on Israel and Lebanon.

On Monday, the Israel Defense Forces struck more than 1,000 targets across Lebanon to prevent Hezbollah from firing rockets across the border.

The U.S. State Department updated its travel advice for Lebanon on Saturday to urge U.S. citizens to depart the country while commercial flights remain available. The United States has advised Americans to not travel to Lebanon since July.

In 2022, the State Department estimated that some 86,000 Americans live in Lebanon.

Israel Warns Civilians to Evacuate as Airstrikes Pound Hezbollah in Lebanon

Israeli warplanes targeted more than 300 Hezbollah positions in southern Lebanon on Monday and Israel warned civilians to evacuate the area as more intense strikes are on the way.

Lebanese officials said at least 182 people were killed and over 700 injured in the strikes, including “children, women, and paramedics.”

The IDF said Hezbollah fired at least 150 rockets, missiles, and other projectiles at Israeli territory on Saturday and Sunday. Most of the attacks were launched from inside Lebanon and some of them reached further into Israel than previous Hezbollah attacks.

“This morning, the IDF launched extensive, proactive airstrikes, based on precise intelligence, aimed at degrading the capabilities and infrastructure of the Hezbollah terrorist organization in Lebanon. This is infrastructure that Hezbollah has built over many years,” Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) spokesman Rear Adm. Daniel Hagari said in a statement on Monday.

Hagari said the campaign was focused on eliminating Hezbollah artillery hidden inside civilian structures, which Hezbollah uses to launch indiscriminate barrages against Israeli civilian targets.

“The scenes that can be seen now in southern Lebanon show Hezbollah’s weapons exploding inside homes. Every house that we strike contains weapons – rockets, missiles, UAVs that are intended to kill Israeli civilians,” he said.

“We are preparing to strike terrorist targets in the Beqaa Valley region soon. Hezbollah stores strategic weapons in civilian buildings, knowingly using the population as human shields and endangering them,” he said.

Hagari warned Lebanese residents of the Beqaa Valley to “move away immediately” from “houses where rockets and weapons are stored.”

“You can see the operations we are currently conducting in southern Lebanon. Hezbollah intends to launch these weapons toward Israel, and we will not allow it! Stay away for your own protection,” he warned.

“Hassan Nasrallah is lying to you and putting you in danger,” Hagari said, referring to the leader of Hezbollah. “Listen to the warnings and messages that will be issued by the IDF for your safety and the safety of your families.”

Israeli military officials said Hagari’s warning for civilians to clear the area around Hezbollah’s hidden weapons was the first such warning the IDF has ever issued for Lebanon.

Hagari also promised the citizens of Israel the IDF “will continue to do everything to protect you,” a pledge echoed by other Israeli officials who noted that Hezbollah had displaced tens of thousands of Israeli civilians from their homes by deliberately attacking civilian targets, with very little condemnation from the international community.

“We have to bring our citizens back to their homes. It is clearly a very dangerous situation and clearly has a potential of escalating dramatically,” Israeli President Isaac Herzog said on Sunday, explaining why the intense campaign to eliminate Hezbollah’s terror weapons was necessary.

Nasrallah dared the Israelis to launch a ground invasion in a fiery speech on Thursday, calling it a “historic opportunity” for Hezbollah to defeat the IDF. Israeli warplanes conducted window-shaking flybys of Beirut during Nasrallah’s speech to prove that the Hezbollah leader was not addressing Lebanon live as he claimed, but rather pre-recorded his remarks from deep in hiding.

Israeli military officials said on Monday there are no “immediate plans” for a ground operation, but airstrikes would continue to degrade Hezbollah’s ability to attack targets in Israel.

Lebanese officials on Monday ordered hospitals to cancel all procedures except emergency surgery so they could treat injuries from the Israeli airstrikes. Schools in southern Beirut and eastern Lebanon were shut down and evacuated.

The Israeli operation followed up on the astounding pager and radio bombings last week, which killed and disabled hundreds of Hezbollah leaders and fighters. When top Hezbollah members gathered in a Beirut suburb on Friday for a planning session in person, the IDF targeted the meeting with a precision airstrike, wiping out much of Hezbollah’s senior military leadership.

Israeli President Herzog said on Monday that “Israel does not seek war,” but has “the right and the duty to defend our people.”

Herzog posted an IDF video showing how Hezbollah stores “thousands and thousands of long-range rockets” in “houses, living rooms, bedrooms, and kitchens.”

“Would you accept this in your or your neighbor’s home? What nation would accept its citizens living under such a threat from its neighbors?” he asked.

“For those who still don’t understand, I want to clarify Israel’s policy – we don’t wait for a threat, we get ahead of it. Anywhere, on any front, at any time. We eliminate senior figures, we eliminate terrorists, we eliminate missiles – and we’re not stopping,” Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu told the Israeli public on Monday.

“I promised we would change the security balance, the balance of power in the north – and that is precisely what we are doing. We are destroying thousands of missiles and rockets aimed at Israeli cities and citizens,” Netanyahu said.

Residents of southern Lebanon, and some parts of Beirut, reported receiving text messages and phone calls from a Lebanese number on Monday morning, warning them to move away from Hezbollah positions. Some also reported hearing radio broadcasts warning them to evacuate.

Lebanese telecom minister Johnny Corm insisted Israel did not breach Lebanon’s networks to deliver these messages. He insisted the Lebanese system is configured to reject all phone calls and messages from Israel.

Lebanese information minister Ziad Makary denounced the evacuation warning messages as a form of “psychological warfare” conducted by Israel. Makary advised Lebanese civilians to ignore the messages.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky began his visit to the United States in Pennsylvania with a stop Sunday at the Scranton Army Ammunition Plant, where he thanked American workers producing the 155mm artillery shells Ukraine uses to kill Russians in a nasty border war with its fellow slavic neighbor to the east.

I wonder how those American workers feel making weapons for the leader of perhaps the most corrupt country in the world, Ukraine, which is being used by a corrupt Washington Unitparty to poke the Russian bear in the eyeball. Maybe they’re not aware of the geopolitical ramifications of their work. I doubt many are or they would be looking for other, less provocative jobs.

But Zelensky is a master at spinning lies and clever propaganda, playing Westerners who fall easy prey because of their lack of knowledge about the history of the Ukraine-Russia dispute. Even the BBC, in a March 2022 article, acknowledged Zelensky’s speeches appear crafted to “shame” Western parliaments into giving him more money and weapons.

“It is in places like this where you can truly feel that the democratic world can prevail,” Zelensky posted on X, praising the Pennsylvania factory, which has boosted production to try to meet Ukraine’s endless needs for more shells. “Thanks to people like these — in Ukraine, in America, and in all partner countries — who work tirelessly to ensure that life is protected.”

That statement is utterly laughable as life is being destroyed every day in Ukraine and in Russia because of a senseless and bloody war that no politicians seem to want to end.

Zelensky the dictator wants you to think he represents freedom and democracy. Nothing could be further from the truth. He has remained in office well past his term’s experation date and refuses to hold elections. He’s shut down all media that criticizes the war, and he’s banned all opposition political parties.

In perhaps the most vicious action, Zelensky’s government has persecuted the Ukrainian Orthodox Christian Church, seizing its churches and monasteries and throwing many of its priests in jail.

With all the pleasantries aside, the dictator Zelensky’s primary mission in the U.S. begins tomorrow when he addresses the United Nations General Assembly’s annual gathering in New York City and shares his so-called “Plan for Victory” while saving the granular details for his meeting with Joe Biden at the White House on Thursday.

“The U.S. president will be the first to see it in full,” Zelensky said in a video address before leaving Kiev. “Of course, I will also present the Plan for Victory to all leaders of partner countries who, like President Biden, are world leaders and can become leaders of peace by helping us.”

Note the Orwellian language. “Leaders of peace” while they push forward with endless war, making no attempt to end it.

“The victory plan is a plan that swiftly strengthens Ukraine. A strong Ukraine will force Putin to the negotiating table. I’m convinced of that,” Zelensky told the New Yorker in an interview last week while invoking more Orwellian doublespeak.

This war has done anything but “strengthen Ukraine.” It has dealt the Ukrainian people a crushing blow.

Zelensky said more Western support will lead to a diplomatic end to the war. Does he honestly believe that?

Force Putin to the negotiating table? This is a big lie that most of the ignorant American masses will swallow whole.

Truth is, Putin was already sitting and waiting for a partner at the negotiating table one month after the war started, in April 2022. He reportedly was willing to pull back his troops under two very reasonable conditions. Ukraine needed to guarantee it would not join the NATO military alliance and stop shelling Ukrainian towns and villages that are populated with mostly Russian-speaking Ukrainians. In other words, stop threatening Russia with Ukrainian NATO courtship and stop using your military in an aggressive manner.

The corporate media won’t tell you that. They want you to think Putin is the aggressor in charge of an expansionist Russia. Putin, they say, wants all of Ukraine, Poland, the Baltic states and more. He wants to re-assemble the old Soviet empire.

They have no evidence of that. NATO, on the other hand, keeps pushing eastward in obvious expansion mode for well over 20 years now. That’s the dirty little secret no Westerner is supposed to know about, and if they do, they mustn’t share it in public for fear of being branded a Russian asset. We’re not allowed to look at facts, and we’re certainly not allowed to have an opinion that doesn’t match up with the Washington warmongering Uniparty.

We are not pro Putin. We are anti-war and pro peace. But our puppet politicians are way out of touch with their constituents. They don’t represent us. They work for their friends in the military-industrial complex.

Zelensky is delusional if he thinks there are any plans for a “diplomatic end of the war,” as he claimed in his interview with the New Yorker.

At this point, even if Russia pulled all of its troops out of Ukraine, I doubt that Washington and London would allow Zelensky to stop fighting Russia. They would still be encouraged to shoot long-range missiles into Russian territory.

That’s because this war isn’t about Ukraine or its bizarre form of freedom and democracy. It’s about attacking Russia and using Ukriane to destabilize Russia to the point of delivering a regime change to Ukraine’s masters in Washington and London.

The Examiner notes that “it’s been five days since Ukraine used a wave of homegrown drones to destroy a complex of weapons storage warehouses near Toropets, about 300 miles inside Russia, and Western intelligence agencies are assessing the damage from the strike and two others that followed, which will have a noticeable impact on Russian military operations.”

Those drones could not have reached their targets inside Russia without NATO intelligence and targeting expertise.

If forcing Putin’s hand to lash out and defend his sovereign territory is not a “noticeable impact,” I don’t know what will be. That’s exactly what Washington and London are hoping to provoke by launching drones and missiles deep into Russia. And when the inevitable blowback occurs, they will again have all their lapdogs in the corporate media shout it from the housetops that Putin is an aggressive imperialistic leader akin to Adolf Hitler in 1938. And the only way to “rescue Europe” is for American troops to pour into Ukraine and finish the job the Ukrainians started. From that point on, we are living on borrowed time before missiles start slamming into U.S. cities.

I believe the strategy is to use Zelensky to slowly bleed Russia while using this time to gradually build up Western forces and the Western industrial output that will be needed for World War III. I don’t know that it will succeed, but that’s the likely plan. Western leaders such as Lindsey Graham and others have all but admitted it. They are so insane that they apparently don’t consider the fact that if Russia gets too weak to defend itself conventionally, it will turn to its nuclear arsenal. Putin and his regime spokespersons have repeatedly and clearly warned they will not hesitate to use nuclear weapons if they feel an existential threat from the West.

But our leaders in Washington and London are so blinded by bloodlust that they refuse to take Putin at his word. He will defend his soverign terrritory. That’s why he invaded Ukriane to begin with, because Ukraine was on a path to join NATO and was becoming a vassal state of Western imperialist leaders, who were building a proxy military force on Russia’s border. It would be like Mexico receiving medium and long-range missiles from Russia and getting training from Russian officers in how to use them aggressively against the U.S. If the U.S. attacked Mexico under such circumstances, would that make the U.S. the aggressor? I think not.

Mark it down. The missiles will be incoming in a matter of months unless Trump or someone steps in who is willing to sit down and negotiate with Putin.

Could this be why they are so intent on stopping Trump? I’m not a big Trump fan. I think he’s pompous and often says things that are better left unsaid. I think he exercises really bad judgment in who he allows into his inner circle, with neocon warmongers like Mike Pence, Lindsey Graham, Nikki Haley and John Bolton among them. But he does claim to want to end the war in Ukraine. That makes him a marked man.

Indiana judge rules prison must provide transgender surgery for inmate who killed baby

A federal judge has ruled that it would be unconstitutional for an Indiana prison to deny a transgender inmate sex reassignment surgery following the inmate’s lawsuit against the facility.

The American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) sued the Indiana Department of Corrections last year on behalf of a transgender inmate, Jonathan C. Richardson, also known as Autumn Cordellionè, who was convicted of strangling his 11-month-old stepdaughter to death in 2001.

Indiana law, however, prohibits the Department of Corrections from using taxpayer dollars to fund sex reassignment surgeries for inmates. However, the ACLU argues in the lawsuit, filed on Aug. 28, 2023, that the law is a violation of the Eighth Amendment’s prohibition of “cruel and unusual punishment.”

The surgery for Richardson, who is serving out a 55-year prison sentence for reckless homicide, “is a medical necessity,” according to the ACLU lawsuit.

Judge Richard Young agreed with the ACLU’s claims and ruled in favor of Cordellioné last week.

“Specifically, Ms. Cordellioné has shown that her gender dysphoria is a serious medical need, and that, despite other treatments Defendant has provided her to treat her gender dysphoria, she requires gender-affirming surgery to prevent a risk of serious bodily and psychological harm,” the ruling states.

The DOC must now take “all reasonable actions” to ensure Cordellioné undergoes sex surgery, according to the order.

Indiana Attorney General Todd Rokita, a Republican, said in a post on X that his office is still reviewing the judge’s decision, “but you can undoubtedly expect our office to appeal this decision.”

“An Indiana inmate convicted of murder wants our taxpayers to fund their gender-altering surgery! Hoosiers do NOT want thism” Rokita said.

The original ACLU filing says Cordellioné was diagnosed in 2020 with gender dysphoria and prescribed female hormones and testosterone blockers, both of which he has “consistently taken since that time.” Other accommodations provided for the inmate include “panties, make up, and form fitting clothing.”

“Accordingly, at this point gender-affirming surgery is necessary so that her physical identity can be aligned with her gender identity and so her gender dysphoria can be ameliorated,” the lawsuit states.

“She believes that the only remedy for her persistent gender dysphoria, and the serious harm it causes her, is to receive gender-affirming surgery, specifically an orchiectomy and vaginoplasty,” it said.

Japan earthquake sparks chilling tsunami warning after 5.9 mag quake puts people on alert

A chilling tsunami warning has been issued following a 5.9 magnitude earthquake that shook Japan. A local news outlet via NTV News reported a 20cm high tsunami wave observed at Kozushima Port, while a 50cm tsunami wave was seen in Hachijo-jima, Hachijo Town, Tokyo.

The Japan Meteorological Agency issued a tsunami advisory this morning for remote islands south of Tokyo after an earthquake potentially triggered by volcanic activity.

The agency warned of possible tsunami waves up to one metre above tide levels on the coasts of the Izu and Ogasawara island chains.

The US Geological Survey measured the quake's strength at 5.6 magnitude.

Despite predicting small swelling of waves along the southeastern Pacific coasts, the JMA assured there is no danger from it.

The offshore quake occurred approximately 180 kilometres (111 miles) south of Hachijo island, which is about 300 kilometres (186 miles) south of Tokyo, the agency said. Residents on Hachijo island reported not feeling the quake and only hearing the tsunami advisory, as per Japan's NHK public television.

A tsunami advisory was in effect following underwater volcanic activity, according to Tohoku University seismologist Fumihiko Imamura.

After an offshore quake hit with little notice, Imamura warned Tuesday that larger tsunamis could follow and urges vigilance amongst coastal residents.

Television footage showed waves splashing against a wharf on Hachijo island but no major swelling was seen.

Residents on Hachijo said they did not feel the quake and only heard the tsunami advisory, Japan's NHK public television said.

Ryuji Minemoto, a Hachijo resident, told NHK that he was on high ground overlooking the ocean but didn't notice changes in the water. "I can see some ships but they don't seem to be moving violently," he said. Minemoto said he did not feel the earlier quake.

Imamura said Tuesday's tsunami was believed to be related to undersea volcanic activity. He said larger tsunami could arrive much later and urged coastal residents to keep their guards up while the advisory is in place.

The offshore quake was not felt, and no damage or injuries have been reported. He said the tsunami was believed to be related to undersea volcanic activity that might have caused a rise or sinking of parts of the seabed.

Imamura told NHK that such movement, unlike ordinary quakes, may not have caused rattling.

The tremor went largely unfelt and no casualties or damage have been reported so far.

Japan is home to around 21,500 people on the Izu Islands and a further 2,500 on the Ogasawara Islands, areas known for heightened seismic activity. it sits on the Pacific "Ring of Fire," a line of seismic faults encircling the Pacific Ocean, and is one of the world's most earthquake and tsunami-prone countries.

Japanese shipping company Tokai Kisen has cancelled its morning ferry services between Tokyo and Oshima, and between Atami and Oshima due to the tsunami warning issued in Izu Islands.

The Japan Meteorological Agency says slight sea level fluctuations are expected along the coast from Chiba to Daito Islands region of Okinawa.

The European Parliament passed a resolution on Sept. 19 calling for EU member states to lift restrictions on Ukraine's use of Western-supplied weapons inside Russia.

The motion was passed with 425 votes in favor, 131 against, and 63 abstentions.

Russian President Vladimir Putin has previously warned of full-scale war if NATO and Europe allow attacks on Russian soil With US missiles, because those missiles must be guided actively by U.S. Satellites, and if U.S. satellites guide those missiles, then the U.S. is, in fact, "at war with Russia."

In response to what the European Parliament voted-on, the Speaker of the Russian Duma, took to the floor of that House in Parliament, and said this:

I will repeat again. If something like this happens. Russia will give a tough response using more powerful weapons.

No one should have any illusions about this. The State Duma insists on this.

The citizens of our country know what war is, it has passed through every family. The victory over Nazism came at a high price.

The USA and England, who call themselves the victors today, lost less than 800,000 people in World War II. Our losses in the Battle of Stalingrad alone were 1,130,000 people.

The only thing the European Parliament should do after such a statement is to dissolve itself.

As most readers already know, the SARMAT is Russia's latest multiple warhead nuclear missile, which can carry fifteen (15) independent warheads of the Avantgard design, which travel at Mach 25 (19,000 MPH) and cannot be intercepted or stopped.

Trump Supporters Apparently Attacked At Rally With Unidentified Weapon - The Message Is Clear 'If You Get Close To Trump, You Will Suffer'

At least 20 Trump supporters may have been attacked covertly by chemicals or a high-power laser at a Trump rally in Tucson on September 12. Some victims suffered severe burns. Many were temporarily blinded, with symptoms lasting until today. Others may have been affected but have yet to be identified. The fact that all those known to have been affected were sitting on the stage immediately adjacent to President Trump is important in understanding the significance of what happened.

The victims were all part of a “Latinos for Trump” group on the stage. President Trump shook hands with them as he walked to the podium. But what they believed was their good fortune soon turned into a nightmare when severe symptoms began to strike 30 minutes after the rally.

Pastor Eli Moreno opened the rally with a prayer. He and his wife, Francesca Moreno, were among the first victims. After an exciting time of being up close and personal with President Trump, they began to develop symptoms on their drive home. Francesca was hit hardest. Her face began to swell, her vision blurred, and her sinuses started to run uncontrollably. When they stopped at a local drugstore for relief, they found other rally-goers with the same symptoms. Doctors at a local emergency room flushed her eyes and sent her to an ophthalmologist. Five days later, her vision was still significantly blurred.

Another victim, Mayra Rodriguez, also fell ill 30 minutes after the rally. Her symptoms included burning eyes and a severe headache. By the time she was rushed to the emergency room, she couldn’t open her eyes.

Other attendees had similar symptoms, reporting significantly blurred vision, severe eye pain, and facial swelling are common symptoms. In every case, the symptoms began about half an hour after the Trump rally. One rally-goer covered his face with milk, trying to reduce the pain. Drinking milk can effectively reduce the pain of overly spicy food, but it had no effect. Another man reported his face turned “fire red,” and the skin peeled a few days after the rally.

Another attendee on stage with the former president became so light-sensitive that she covered her eyes and remained in a darkened room for days after the rally.

Experts believe the symptoms resulted either from a chemical agent or, more likely, from a high-powered infrared laser attack. Thus, while chemicals were initially blamed, physicians and retired military experts experienced in chemical-biological-nuclear-directed energy warfare now believe it was an attack by an unseen infrared laser.

The symptoms are consistent with a very severe sunburn. The reddened skin and peelings are typical symptoms of a dangerous level of overexposure to the sun’s infrared light. The fact that the symptoms did not start until about 30 minutes after exposure also indicates an infrared burn. It’s like getting too much sun at the beach. People often discover only later how badly sunburned they are.

A laser capable of inflicting this level of damage is commercially available on Amazon. Because light in the infrared spectrum is not visible to the human eye, no one would have seen an attack of this type while it was happening. Some types of bulletproof glass would have afforded protection, but since this was an inside rally, no protective glass shield was used.

Still, while a laser attack seems like the most likely cause for the injuries people experienced, experts are not discounting a possible chemical attack. Currently, knowing exactly how the attack occurred is not the most important thing. The critical issue is that it happened, and it can happen again.

The closely gathered group of victims points to a conclusion that the specific 20 people ending up in the hospital—all of whom immediately adjacent to Trump—was no accident. Instead, it sent a very strong message. If you get close to Trump, you will suffer.

Political and law enforcement insiders believe what happened was a warning. One warning could be, “This is what happens to people who support Donald Trump.” Another frightening warning could be “We purposely aimed at just one stage area, 8 feet away from the former president. We could just as easily attack Trump.”

This is still a developing story. Currently, there is no differential diagnosis as to what caused the attack. There is only informed opinion. But in the aftermath of two assassination attempts by rifle, and the Iranian promise to kill Trump, this may become one of the major stories of the campaign. The worst part is that law enforcement does not know precisely who or what caused this, and no one is sure how to prevent its recurrence. This time, President Trump could be the victim.

Congressman Matt Gaetz revealed today that the United States Government is aware of FIVE (5) separate Assassination Teams, already in the USA, who are here to KILL TRUMP!

The IDF launched interceptors at a UAV from Iraq that was detected crossing from Syria into Israeli territory, the military stated on Sunday.

Alarms were sounded in the Beit She'an Valley and the southern Golan areas, and no injuries were reported.

The Islamic Resistance in Iraq terrorist group said on Sunday evening it had launched a drone attack at a target in the Jordan Valley.

The UN Takes A Stand Against God

Late last year the United Nations passed a resolution mocking and condemning the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. Their action derided the Old and New Testaments, including the clear teaching of Jesus. How did they do this? In a 90 to 30 vote with 47 abstentions, they passed a resolution calling the founding of modern Israel a “catastrophe.”

Let that soak in. God kept His promise. A nation was born in a day. He brought His people back into the land that He gave them so long ago. And the UN now chooses to commemorate that miracle as a “catastrophe.”

The Israeli news service i24News reported, “Palestinians consider the establishment of Israel and its existence to this day as the ‘Nakba’ (catastrophe in Arabic) and the world body decided to acknowledge the Palestinian version of events with the resolution.”

In 2023, Israel celebrates its 75th anniversary. By the Gregorian calendar, Israel declared its independence on May 14, 1948. The official celebration in Israel will follow the Jewish calendar and go from sundown April 25th to sundown April 26th. That means we can celebrate twice — with Israel in April, then according to our calendar on May 14th.

But the United Nations has decided that it will make the next day, May 15th, a day of lament and of calls for vengeance against Jews. That’s what happens every Nakba. That’s what Nakba is. They say that the rebirth of Israel was a “catastrophe” primarily because of what happened to the Palestinian people who left that land during those days.

They don’t mention that Israel was founded in accordance with UN resolutions. They don’t mention that tragedies such as the holocaust made it obvious that the Jews needed their own homeland. Great Britain, the holder of that land, agreed to give it Israel. They don’t mention that Arab nations fooled masses of people into going to “Palestine” just prior to 1948 by promising them land and prosperity. Neither do they say that these people were declared “refugees” even though they had not been in the land long enough to qualify for refugee status according to previous UN rules.

Today, we almost never hear that the new Israeli government pleaded with so-called “Palestinians” to stay. Those people left at the request of Arab armies that promised the refugees they could return after those armies quickly annihilated Israel — something that obviously never happened. I say “so-called Palestinians” because never in world history was there a nation of Palestine. Meanwhile, in Arab countries, Jews were being kicked out — their lands and properties were being stolen. Happily, those newly disenfranchised Jews did have one place left in the world where they could go — the new Jewish state of Israel.

Israel asked the Palestinians to stay and welcomed Jewish refugees. Muslim countries threw out the Jews and threw Palestinian refugees into massive camps, almost like prisons. They had to keep them there because to let them assimilate into their societies would be to lose the political leverage they represent. When the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA) was organized in 1950, there were only 750,000 such refugees. Today that number has grown to over 5.9 million according to UNRWA. Such a number precludes any ability for a small country such as Israel to guarantee a “right of return.”

UN Sanctioned Antisemitism

The world’s war on Jews continues to grow in intensity and in brazenness. From college campuses to the United Nations, people no longer hide their bigotry against Jews. Now they’re proud of it.

Many of those working toward Israel’s demise say they are not anti-Semites. They say you can be anti-Israel without being anti-Jew. But when the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) officially proclaims that Israel has no historic link to the Temple Mount in Jerusalem, there can be no doubt. That age-old hobgoblin of the world — antisemitism — has roared back to life!

On Tuesday in Paris, the UNESCO executive board approved a resolution denying any historical Jewish ties to the Temple Mount. I wrote about this in April when UNESCO first floated the idea, but who would have thought it would get this far?

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said, “To say that Israel has no connection to the Temple Mount and the Western Wall is like saying that China has no connection to the Great Wall of China or that Egypt has no connection to the Pyramids.”

U.S. State Department spokesman Mark Toner said, “We are deeply concerned about these kinds of recurring, politicized resolutions that do nothing to advance constructive results on the ground.”

CNN belittled Israel’s complaint as a “spat.” But it was a big enough spat that Israel has now cut off all ties to UNESCO.

Carmel Shama-Hacohen, Israel’s ambassador to UNESCO, said, “We won’t negotiate and we won’t take part in these ugly games. There is no place for these games in UNESCO. This noble organization was established to preserve history, not to rewrite it.”

UNESCO’s own website says, “Peace must be established on the basis of humanity’s moral and intellectual solidarity.”

Do they even see Jews as a part of “humanity”? How can they pretend that Jews have no connection to the Temple Mount, and say that their goal is “humanity’s moral and intellectual solidarity”?

USECO says its job is the “protection of heritage.” Yet they deny three thousand years of Jewish heritage. The resolution never refers to the site as “the Temple Mount.” It doesn’t mention the historical Jewish Temples built there. UNESCO refers to it only as “al-Haram al-Sharif,” Arabic for “the Noble Sanctuary.”

For the Temple Mount to be exclusively Muslim, as UNESCO says, the temples could never have existed there. Even the Western Wall, sometimes called the “Wailing Wall,” is depicted in the report as wholly Muslim.

Secular history, Bible history, and archeology all give overwhelming testimony to the existence of these great temples in this specific location. This is not just a matter of Jewish heritage, but also Christian. Jesus taught in the Temple, and had important things to say about it.

When Muslim authorities did restoration work inside the Al-Aqsa Mosque, they tore out and threw away lumber that scientists confirm are of the right age and type to have been used in the first Temple — the one built by Solomon. For most of human history, wood from previous construction was reused. These beams had been used in Solomon’s temple, reused in the second temple, kept during Herod’s renovations, used again in Catholic churches built on the site, and finally used by the Muslims in building Al-Aqsa.

When Muslim authorities built an underground mosque on this land that they claim to hold as holy, they threw away and in some cases destroyed thousands of artifacts from at least as far back as the second temple. Instead of treating the site with care as Jewish, Christian, and even atheistic archeologists would have done, they used jackhammers and bulldozers. They hauled off truckloads of dirt filled with smashed artifacts. They dumped it as trash.

Muslims say a horse named “Buraq” once flew the Prophet Mohammed to the “Seventh Heaven,” using the Temple Mount as his launch pad. The UNESCO resolution accepts this without question. But they deny the three-thousand-year history of Israel’s connection to the mount.

I am stunned by the brazenness of UNESCO’s campaign to eradicate any Jewish connection to the land of their fathers. The world is proceeding down a dark path.

We can take comfort from the fact that these things were foretold in God’s Word. And those same remarkable prophecies also tell us that, in the end, goodness, truth, justice, and mercy will all win.

Violent crime has become so widespread in Ecuador that most of its citizens report feeling scared to walk the streets alone at night, according to a new poll.

The country was forced to declare a State of Emergency in January due to rising homicides linked to drug crime.

The nation's President, Daniel Noboa, put the nation on high alert after notorious drug lord José Adolfo Macías, also known as Fito, escaped from a maximum-security prison. Thousands of soldiers were deployed onto the streets as chaos unfolded, culminating in gunmen storming a live TV set as the news was being read.

In the poll by Gallup, no other place anywhere in the world - aside from active war zones - felt less secure than Guayas on Ecuador's Pacific Coast.

According to the data, just 11 percent of residents felt safe walking alone in their area at night. Guayas is the most populous region, but the grim stats hinted at a tale that was reflected in the national figure too.

Nationally, just 27 percent of Ecuadorians feel safe alone on the streets around their homes at night. It is comfortably the worst in the poll data of citizens about the safest and least safest feeling countries.

The bombshell report found that, among Latin Americans, Ecuadorians felt the least safe in 2023.

It is located between the world's two largest cocaine producers, Colombia and Peru, making it an increasingly important point in the global cocaine trafficking system.

As a result, gang violence and homicides have skyrocketed to nearly 50 per 100,000 residents in 2023, which is among the highest in the world.

Violent crime has soared in the country over the past few years.

In 2022-23, it saw a record amount of kidnapping, which skyrocketed 41.7 percent, in addition to attempted murders rising by 13.7 percent, and carjacking rising by 8.5 percent compared to the previous year, according to annual statistics.

South Africa came to a critical juncture this spring upon holding a high stakes election that saw the African National Congress (ANC) significantly decline in power and lose its majority for the first time since Nelson Mandela led it to power 30 years ago.

According to the Global Organized Crime Index, loosely organized human and drug trafficking, trade smuggling and cyber-crime are on the rise in the low-income country, which fought two civil wars in the late 1990s and early 2000s.

Many victims of human trafficking within its borders are subject to forced labor and sex trafficking, including domestic servitude.

The country's deteriorating economy, characterized by high unemployment and poverty rates, has also exacerbated crimes such as armed robbery, rape and murder.

According to the Global Organized Crime Index, human trafficking including forced labor of children and sexual slavery of women has been able to quietly continue due to widespread corruption among state officials.

The country serves as a transit point for trade smuggling, including for the counterfeit clothing, shoes, electronics and medical products sent to South Africa.

After being banned during the COVID-19 pandemic, illicit trade of cigarettes and alcohol soared.

There is also a black market for its resources, including drugs such as heroin and marijuana, wood, animal poaching, diamonds, gold, sand and fuel.

The country's unsecured borders have also led to a rise in armed robberies and gun violence, including armed heists.

According to the Global Organized Crime Index, the South American country experiences high rates of human and drug trafficking as well as crime related to illicit trade of various natural resources and counterfeit goods.

Human trafficking victims are frequently subject to sexual slavery and forced labor.

The rising crime rates comes over 50 years after a military overthrew its democratically-elected President Salvador Allende, a democratic socialist, in 1973, during the Nixon administration.

Japan’s top government spokesperson said Tuesday a Chinese military aircraft had briefly entered Japanese airspace the day before, calling the incident an “absolutely unacceptable” territorial violation.

TOKYO (AP) — Japan’s top government spokesperson said Tuesday a Chinese military aircraft had briefly entered Japanese airspace the day before, calling the incident an “absolutely unacceptable” territorial violation and safety threat.

Chief Cabinet Secretary Yoshimasa Hayashi said that a Chinese Y-9 reconnaissance plane briefly entered Japan’s southwestern airspace Monday, forcing its military to scramble fighter jets. He added that it was the first time the Japanese Self Defense Force detected a Chinese military aircraft in Japan’s airspace.

“The Chinese military aircraft’s incursion into Japan’s airspace not only is a serious violation of our territorial rights but also a safety threat,” Hayashi told a regular news conference. “We found it absolutely unacceptable.”

The Chinese Y-9 reconnaissance plane circled above Danjo Island off the southwestern coast of Japan’s main southern island of Kyushu for two minutes, the Joint Staff of the Japanese Self Defense Force said late Monday, adding that officials were analyzing the latest Chinese military activity.

The Joint Staff said Japan scrambled fighter jets and warned the Chinese plane to leave.

Chinese foreign ministry spokesperson Lin Jian on Tuesday said China has “no intention” to violate any country’s airspace, adding that “the competent Chinese authorities are learning and verifying the situation.”

Hayashi stressed that China’s military activity around Japan in recent years has become “increasingly expanding and intensifying.” Hayashi said Japan will continue watching Chinese military activity and do its utmost to respond to possible anti-airspace violations.

The Foreign Ministry said in a statement that Japanese Vice Foreign Minister Masataka Okano summoned acting Chinese Ambassador Shi Yong to strongly protest the airspace violation. Okano also demanded that China take steps to avoid such incidents.

According to Japan’s military, it scrambled jets nearly 669 times between April 2023 and March 2024, about 70% of the time against Chinese military aircraft, though that did not include airspace violations.

Japanese defense officials are increasingly concerned about growing military cooperation between the Chinese and Russian air forces, and China’s increasingly assertive activity around Japanese waters and airspace. It led Tokyo to significantly reinforce defenses of southwestern Japan, including remote islands that are considered key to Japan’s defense strategy in the region.

‘Democrats’ demand politician prove the divinity of Jesus Christ!

The “Liberal Democrat” political party in the United Kingdom is demanding that a Christian politician, in defense of his beliefs, must prove in court the divinity of Jesus Christ.

The stunning requirement came as part of a scorchingly hot fight over faith after the party banned a Christian candidate from its slate of candidates, because of his beliefs.

According to the UK Independent, a lawyer for Christian candidate David Campanale explained that the Christian beliefs are protected under section 10 of the Equalities Act, including the statement, “Jesus Christ is the way, the truth and the life,” out of the gospel of John.

“But in response the Lib Dem legal defense said that Mr. Campanale should legally prove the statement of faith to be true in court,” the report explained.

“[The statement] is outside the defendant’s knowledge and neither admitted nor denied; the claimant is required to prove the same.”

In the United States, Democrat vice presidential candidate Tim Walz already effectively has banished Christians from the ranks of public school teachers. He escorted into law a requirement that technically allows Christians to be teachers, but requires them, in those ranks, but publicly deny basic beliefs of the Bible.

The Independent reported the court fight brought by Campanale against the party after he was thrown out has the “Liberal Democrats” appearing “to demand that a sacked candidate must prove the divinity of Jesus Christ in court.”

Campanale was rejected by the party as a candidate for Sutton and Cheam.

The report noted, “Former Archbishop of Canterbury Dr. Rowan Williams condemned the Lib Dems over the Campanale case and claimed that it is now ‘impossible’ for orthodox Christians, Muslims or Jews to stand for the party.”

The fight is over whether a Lib Dem candidate can “hold socially conservative views on issues like abortion, trans rights, and same sex marriage.”

Campanale told the publication, “God needs no defense. He is after all the judge. It’s whether the Liberal Democrats continue to be seen as out of touch in the dock of public opinion with the liberalism and tolerance of the British people.

“A lot of people back my Christian conviction that our nation’s liberties were built upon biblical foundations and the great story of Christian struggle through the generations for the abolition of slavery, the rights of children not to be sent up chimneys and the existence of trade unionism. If the party rediscovered and celebrated that story and not ridicule it, voters would pay the Lib Dems greater attention.”

The party itself has conceded it has turned anti-Christian.

“It is admitted that Mr. Taylor said words to the effect that the party of past prominent Liberal Democrat with Christian beliefs, such as Shirley Williams and Charles Kennedy, ‘was over.’ That was a statement of fact reflecting the current policy platforms and public political stance of the Liberal Democrats as shaped democratically by the decisions of its membership.”

The Christian Institute noted the messaging was clear: “The Liberal Democrats have indicated that those who uphold Christian values cannot be party candidates.”

Since he was thrown out because of his religious beliefs against abortion, gay marriage and sex change ideologies, he is suing for religious discrimination.

Iran’s ring of fire around Israel is tightening

The Houthis in Yemen, Hezbollah in Lebanon, Shiite militias in Syria and Iraq, and the terrorist organizations in Gaza, Judea and Samaria – for years Iran has been equipping its allies for this very showdown.

Despite the successes of Israel’s defense establishment in the so-called “war between wars,” the regime in Tehran has managed to create a threat that endangers every Israeli. Creativity, geographical advantages, and the involved states: this is how Iran’s smuggling machine operates. “Iran’s Ring of Fire” is a term frequently discussed in Israeli over the past few months, both in the media and academic circles. Here’s a summary.

For years, Israel has warned about the “tentacles” of Iranian influence that promote terrorism in the Middle East. The smuggling of weapons to Tehran’s proxy organizations is an open secret, and Israel has repeatedly tried to prevent such deliveries in Syria and Iraq through airstrikes. However, since the present war began on October 7, it has become clear that despite these strikes, Israel is facing rocket and drone attacks from Iraq and Yemen, precision weapons from Lebanon, and Iranian weapons in Gaza as well as in Judea and Samaria.

The creativity of Iran’s smuggling efforts stands out: Tehran seems willing to consider every conceivable option, hoping something will work. “Like everything they do in life, even on a personal level, the Iranians direct their efforts in all possible directions,” says Beni Sabti, a researcher in the Iran Program at the Institute for National Security Studies (INSS). “In their nuclear program, they tried every method to obtain the right material. The same applies to terrorism.”

Effective Iranian weapons are now mainly found in Lebanon, Iraq, Syria and Yemen—but also in Sudan, Jordan, Judea and Samaria, and of course, in the Gaza Strip. The route to Iran’s neighboring countries and from there to Hezbollah is relatively easy: the path leads from Iran through Iraq to Syria, and then into Lebanon, where weapon smuggling faces little resistance. Beni Sabti says: “This route serves Hezbollah, it’s the northern route and the easiest for them. The Assad regime, both the father and now the son, cooperates. Since the civil war, the Syrians are subjugated to the Iranians and Hezbollah. Syria, in effect, no longer exists—it’s an Iranian province.”

Iraq and Syria are key countries for Iran, both in terms of its regional influence and smuggling routes. Pro-Iranian militias operate in both countries, receiving instructions and weapons from Iran. From there, weapons are smuggled into Lebanon, Jordan, and from Jordan into Judea and Samaria. “In Syria itself, Iran has armed all the militias it left behind during the civil war,” says Sabti. “All the armies supposedly built for the Assad regime, like Fatemiyoun and Zainabiyoun, are still in Syria. Iran is escalating its methods. There is not just one army against Israel, but many. There are many paths and many players.”

It is no secret that since the beginning of the Syrian civil war in 2011, Iran has worked to strengthen Assad’s rule and solidify its influence in Syria. Iran has sent senior commanders from the Revolutionary Guards and Shiite militia organizations to Syria, established military bases, and interfered in the decisions and policies of the Assad regime.

Less well known is that Iran is also exerting massive social, educational, cultural, and religious influence in Syria. It introduces Iranian and Shiite materials into schools and kindergartens, establishes Iranian cultural centers, and organizes recruitment campaigns to enlist Syrians into the militias it supports. Iran is also changing the demographic composition of certain areas by relocating Shiite Iranians and their families there.

A report published by MEMRI in early July elaborates on this. In January 2020, Iran and the Syrian regime signed a comprehensive educational agreement that includes Iranian books in the official Syrian curriculum and introduces Persian as a second language in secondary schools. The report notes that Iran operates numerous Shiite kindergartens throughout Syria, where children are taught “the correct principles of Islam.” Iran also has a presence in higher education: five Iranian universities are active in Syria.

“The Iranians are establishing centers across Syria for children aged 8 to 18, giving them uniforms, teaching them Shiite Islam, introducing them to activities related to Shiite sites, and then starting to train them in drills and parades. Later, they are recruited for military training units, and eventually, they become soldiers for Hezbollah or Iran,” says Dr. Yehuda Balanga, a Syria expert at the Middle East Studies Institute of Bar-Ilan University. Iranian cultural centers have also been established in Syria, typically run by senior Revolutionary Guard commanders, offering free Persian courses and activities for children and youth, including trips to Shiite sites throughout the country.

The report mentions that the majority of Syria’s population is Sunni, in contrast to the Alawite Assad family. “In 1973, Lebanese Shiite leader Musa al-Sadr recognized the Alawites as a sect of Shiite Islam, facilitating the Syrian Alawites’ alignment with Shiite forces in Iran. Since the war began in 2011, Bashar al-Assad has viewed the Iranization and Shiitization of Syria as a way to strengthen himself against his predominantly Sunni domestic opponents.”

As part of this Shiitization of Syria, Iran seeks to change the country’s demographics. To this end, Syrian and Iranian agents purchase real estate, especially around Damascus, in the city itself, and in northeastern Syria. Sometimes they offer high prices to persuade owners to sell. In other cases, they use pressure and threats to force owners to sell cheaply. After acquiring the properties, members of Shiite militias and their families, many of whom are not Syrian citizens, are settled there. To obscure this, the Assad regime has sometimes granted Syrian citizenship to foreign militiamen.

The Shiitization of Syria is also evident in the conversion of Sunni mosques into Shiite religious centers, renaming them after Shiite heroes, and exploiting the economic plight of Syrians to convert them to Shiite Islam in exchange for gifts, food, and financial aid. Iranian religious missions are also sent to various regions in Syria to promote Shiite Islam to tribal leaders, knowing that if a leader converts, the rest of the tribe will follow.

“It is a poor population, hit hard by the civil war, that wants to regain a sense of security. When a power like Iran, which helped Assad win the civil war, initiates a process of religious conversion, it’s likely they will eventually be convinced,” says Balanga. “Tehran pays tribal leaders, families, or fighters who convert to Shiism and join the Shiite militias significant sums, ranging from 300 to 800 dollars per fighter.”

The MEMRI report also highlights the obvious: Iran has the ability to interfere in Assad’s regime’s decisions and policies, including in military and security matters. Some Syrian security units are loyal to Iran, allowing it to control them directly through Iranian officers. Iran achieved this by providing extensive military and economic support to the Assad regime.

According to Balanga, it is no coincidence that Iran places such great importance on Syria. Iran’s goal is to use Syria to strengthen its ring of fire around Israel. “Of the 830 foreign bases in Syria today, Iran controls 570. Estimates suggest there are between 60,000 and 100,000 Tehran-loyal coalition forces in Syria today. Iran is surrounding Israel with a ring of fire from Gaza, from Lebanon, and now from another front of tens of thousands of armed Shiites in Syria.”

Prof. Eyal Zisser, former director of the Moshe Dayan Center and now a lecturer at the Middle Eastern History Department at Tel Aviv University, expresses a similar view. “We need to observe the Iranization of Syria because this process could deepen, ultimately making Syria a clearly Shiite state that is not only politically but also ideologically and religiously aligned with Iran,” Zisser says. “If the process deepens, we could face a Syrian enemy that, like Hezbollah, views the fight against us as central to its mission. This differs from the Assad regime’s previous behavior, which has remained neutral and not directly confronted Israel. The Syrian regime cooperates with Iran today out of interest, not ideology.”

While Israel has to some extent succeeded in blocking the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps’ attempts to establish naval and air bases and missile defense systems in Syria, it has failed to prevent the establishment of Shiite militias in the country. “The most important thing is that we must not allow these militias in Syria to carry out larger operations against Israel that could drag us into an attrition war similar to the one at the Lebanese border. If Assad allows the militias to attack us from the Syrian border, we must act forcefully against both them and him,” Zisser concludes.

Hundreds of Hezbollah pagers explode across Lebanon injuring thousands

At least eight people were killed and more than 2,700 injured, many of them Hezbollah fighters, when the handheld pagers they use to communicate exploded, Lebanon's health minister said Tuesday.

Firass Abiad said the blasts took place in several suburbs of Beirut, according to Lebanon's National News Agency. He said many of the victims had injuries to their faces, hands and stomachs.

He said one of those killed was an 8-year-old girl.

The direct cause of the explosions, which appeared to take place simultaneously at 3:30 p.m., was not immediately clear, though Hezbollah quickly blamed Israel for what it called its "sinful aggression."

The Shia militant movement said Israel would get "its fair punishment."

A Hezbollah official told the Reuters news agency that the detonation of the pagers was the "biggest security breach" the group had been subjected to in nearly a year of war with Israel.

Mojtaba Amani, Iran's ambassador in Lebanon, was also injured in the incident, though not seriously, according to Iran's semi-official Mehr News Agency. Hezbollah is materially and financially backed by Iran.

There was no immediate comment from Israel's military.

Spiking West Bank violence: another front to Israel's collection of conflicts

Still, the incident comes just hours after Israel's security Cabinet released a statement vowing to return tens of thousands of displaced residents of Israel's northern areas to their homes. Hezbollah, long Israel's enemy, has repeatedly fired missiles at Israeli territory since Hamas' Oct. 7 attacks, causing many residents to flee south.

A pager is a small electronic device that can be worn or fit in a pocket that beeps or vibrates when someone is trying to contact you. It displays the phone number or sometimes a short message. Pagers can usually only receive information, not transmit it, making their location hard to track.

Small bombs on both pagers and cellphones can be detonated remotely.

Israel has for months warned that it could launch a military operation to drive Hezbollah away from its border.

Orna Mizrachi, a former Israeli national security official, said in a call with reporters that the pager attack could signal that Israel is about to change its war strategy, in which it has been fighting Hamas in Gaza for almost a year, and move its main front to the north to fight Hezbollah.

"I think we are closer than we were before to a full-scale war" with Hezbollah, said Mizrachi, now a senior research fellow at the Tel Aviv-based Institute for National Security Studies.

Still, hostilities between Israel and Hezbollah, are not new. They have been clashing and exchanging fire along their shared border since the mid-1980s. They fought a major war in 2006.

Hezbollah says it has upped its attacks on Israel as part of its support for Hamas in Gaza. But they are also connected to a broader regional commitment to oppose and pressure Israel. Lina Khatib, an expert on the Middle East at London think tank Chatham House, noted recently that Hezbollah’s fight with Israel may not ultimately be about helping Palestinians, or even Hamas, but about self-preservation.

"The group could have intervened on a large scale in October before Israel significantly weakened Hamas’ military capability, but it did not," Khatib said. "Hezbollah would only engage in all-out war with Israel if the group felt it was facing an existential threat of its own (which, currently, it does not). It will not sacrifice itself for Palestine."

Rose Kelanic, who runs the Middle East program at Defense Priorities, a Washington think tank, said that if it's confirmed the operation was carried out by Israel, the message is clear: "The Israelis just told Hezbollah that they've got their number, quite literally, by exploding these pagers."

Kelanic said the pagers could have been detonated through purely cyber means by a computer virus or "worm." The Israelis are believed to have done similarly when Iranian nuclear centrifuges were destroyed by making them spin so fast, they broke. Or the pagers could have been physically sabotaged at some point along the supply chain.

In one instance, closed-circuit surveillance video carried by regional broadcasters showed a person paying at a grocery store as what appeared to be a small handheld device placed next to the cashier exploded.

The New York Times reported that Israel hid explosive material in the Taiwan-made Gold Apollo pagers before they were imported to Lebanon, citing American and other officials briefed on the operation. The material was implanted next to the battery with a switch that could be triggered remotely to detonate.

The Palestinian militant group Hamas, which is waging war with Israel in Gaza, said the pager blasts were an "escalation" that will only lead Israel to "failure and defeat."

After what we have witnessed the past few days, there is no turning back. Both sides are making final preparations for all-out war, and soon the Middle East will erupt in flames. But now there is no denying what is happening. We really are on the brink of the unthinkable, and as you will see at the end of this article, behind the scenes someone is very happy because things are going exactly as he had hoped.

If you tried to write a movie script based on the events that have transpired in the Middle East this week, everyone would reject it for being way too unrealistic. On Tuesday, thousands of Hezbollah militants were maimed when their pagers exploded, and on Wednesday it was being reported that thousands of “walkie-talkies, solar panels and fingerprint recognition devices” that belonged to members of Hezbollah also exploded…

Thousands of walkie-talkies, solar panels and fingerprint recognition devices used by Hezbollah fighters have detonated across Lebanon, killing 14 and wounding hundreds of people including mourners at a funeral, witnesses and security sources have reported.

The second wave of carnage comes a day after thousands of exploding pagers used by the group left almost 3,000 people injured and a dozen dead, including civilians and children.

Security sources have now confirmed that hand-held radios were purchased by Hezbollah five months ago, at around the same time as the compromised pagers. Lebanese media has also reported that home solar energy systems have blown up in several areas of Beirut.

We have never seen anything like this before, and we will probably never see anything like this ever again.

On Wednesday, explosions were going off all over Lebanon, and that was especially true in the city of Beirut…

Hezbollah’s Al Manar TV reported explosions in multiple areas of Lebanon, and a Hezbollah official told the Associated Press that walkie-talkies used by the group exploded as part of blasts heard in Beirut.

Ali Hashem, a journalist based in Lebanon, wrote on X: “Another round of blasts in different areas around south Lebanon and Beirut southern suburb. Devices in cars, motorcycles, and people’s hands are exploding.”

It comes after videos from Beirut’s southern suburbs showed people lying on the pavement with wounds on their hands or near their trouser pockets.

Can you imagine the paranoia that members of Hezbollah must be feeling right now?

After everything that has happened, they have got to be wondering what devices will explode next.

I have no idea how any of them can possibly watch the news in peace knowing that the television could be the next thing to go off.

Apparently the walkie-talkies that exploded on Wednesday were originally made by a company in Japan…

A Reuters reporter in the southern suburbs of Beirut said he saw Hezbollah members frantically taking out the batteries of any walkie-talkies on them that had not exploded, tossing the parts in metal barrels around them.

Images of the exploded walkie-talkies examined by Reuters showed an inside panel labeled “ICOM” and “Made in Japan.” According to its website, ICOM is a Japan-based radio communications and telephone company.

I really wish that both sides would decide that enough is enough and would sit down at the negotiating table.

But that isn’t going to happen.

After thousands of pagers exploded on Tuesday, Hezbollah responded by launching rockets into Israel…

Hezbollah has launched its first rocket attack on targets inside Israel after pager blasts left almost 3,000 wounded and 12 dead in Lebanon and Syria, with the militant group vowing retaliation.

Iran, which backs the group, has condemned Israel as being responsible for the blasts, which it labelled ‘mass murder’ and amount to the biggest security breach in Hezbollah’s history.

And Israel is “pivoting its efforts toward the northern border” as it prepares for a final showdown with Hezbollah…

Israeli political and defense officials ramped up their rhetoric on Wednesday indicating the IDF would be pivoting its efforts toward the northern border in a “new phase” of the war, amid escalating tensions with Hezbollah following widespread attacks on Hezbollah fighters in Lebanon attributed to Israel.

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, Defense Minister Yoav Gallant, IDF chief Herzi Halevi and other officials all issued statements Wednesday evening which appeared to suggest a full-on war with Hezbollah was brewing, hours after a wave of explosions of walkie-talkies and other communications devices used by Hezbollah members across Lebanon caused widespread casualties, echoing a similar attack a day earlier that targeted Hezbollah-issued pagers.

But I don’t expect Israel to go into southern Lebanon quite yet.

As I discussed the other day, I think that Israel will wait until after Benjamin Netanyahu addresses the UN General Assembly at the end of this month.

Speaking of the UN General Assembly, they just passed a resolution that very strongly condemns Israel…

On Wednesday, the United Nations General Assembly approved a Palestinian resolution urging sanctions and an arms embargo against Israel. The proposal also included a demand from the Palestinian Authority for Israel to withdraw from the West Bank and Gaza within a year. The resolution passed with 124 countries in favor, 14 against, and 43 abstentions. It’s important to note that General Assembly resolutions are non-binding and will not directly lead to actions or sanctions against Israel.

Israel’s Ambassador to the UN, Danny Danon, condemned the vote, saying, “This is a shameful decision that backs the Palestinian Authority’s diplomatic terrorism. Instead of marking the anniversary of the October 7 massacre by condemning Hamas and calling for the release of all 101 of the remaining hostages, the General Assembly continues to dance to the music of the Palestinian Authority, which backs the Hamas murderers.”

Everything that is happening is making one particular individual in the Middle East very happy.

For years, Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman has watched Iran systematically spread Shiite Islam throughout the Middle East.

This has greatly distressed Mohammed bin Salman and other Saudi leaders, because they intend for their brand of Sunni Islam to dominate the globe.

If Israel is able to defeat the Iranians and their allies in this war, that would greatly please the Saudis, because it would fundamentally change the balance of power in their favor.

Of course there will also be a tremendous global outcry for a Palestinian state once this war is over, and that is another major geopolitical goal for the Saudis…

Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman on Wednesday said the kingdom would not recognise Israel without a Palestinian state and strongly condemned the “crimes of the Israeli occupation” against the Palestinian people.

“The kingdom will not stop its tireless work towards the establishment of an independent Palestinian state with East Jerusalem as its capital, and we affirm that the kingdom will not establish diplomatic relations with Israel without that,” the crown prince, known as MbS, said.

The Saudis are just going to sit back and watch the Israelis do all the hard work, and then afterwards they are going to get the Palestinian state that they have always wanted.

But ultimately, the unprecedented chaos that is ahead of us will not be good for anyone.

We are entering a time of war, economic trouble, global food shortages and great political turmoil.

Global events are building up to a grand crescendo, and it won’t be too long before things start getting really, really wild.

Russian Foreign Ministry: 'The attack on communications devices in Lebanon is a comprehensive act of war and aims to provoke a major war in the region'

I have spent the past few hours speaking to my former colleagues in the Intelligence Community (IC) from around the world. Several I personally worked with during my years working with the FBI Joint Terrorism Task Force, where, as regular readers know, I handled national security intelligence, terrorism, and foreign counter-intelligence.

To a man, each and every former colleague in the IC told me they believe Israel is in for a surprise when they enter Lebanon.

They went on to explain that, regardless of communications being down, every Lebanese village in the South has hundreds of local garrison units and independently functioning cells for Hezbollah.

One colleague in particular, with whom I had dealings when I traveled for the FBI to Brazil in January, 2005, and who provided me with a USB memory stick to give to a guy in Curitiba, Brazil back in 2005 prior to the start of the Israel-Hezbollah war in '06, a war in which the US helped Hezbollah - yes, you read that correctly -- told me: "If Israel couldn't win in 2006, they certainly cannot win in 2024, but the war will be more destructive than before. Both for Israel and Lebanon."

Of all the information given to me this afternoon, the most relevant was this from one former IC colleague. He told me "People need to understand that you cannot defeat an organization like Hezbollah, which is interwoven in the civilian population of the country. They have schools, hospitals, bakeries, factories, etc. and they will simply recruit new fighters when need arises."

It appears we will all get to see if his assessment is correct, very soon.

Israel is moving many troops, and much heavy armor toward the Lebanon Border tonight - as you read this.

Moreover, the Lebanese Foreign Minister, in an unprecedented statement to the Lebanese state, said today:

"No one can ask Hezbollah to calm down after the attack that occurred, Hezbollah's response to the attack is necessary."

With this statement the Lebanese government is now openly giving Hezbollah free play to respond, instead of asking it to calm tensions.

This is unprecedented.

With the backing of the Lebanese government, Hezbollah will be emboldened to act much harder than before, when they tried to appease the government to at least some extent.

Meanwhile, in Lebanon at this hour (6:15 PM EDT) a wave of Israeli Airstrikes moments ago against Southern Lebanon, with Strikes reported against the Towns of Mays al-Jabal, Blida, Aitaroun, Khiyam, Sheheen, and Taybeh.

At least nine people were killed and 300 more were wounded in a fresh wave of wireless devices exploding in Lebanon on Wednesday, according to the country's health ministry.

This comes just over 24 hours after thousands were hurt and a dozen people were killed as Hezbollah pagers blew up, with Lebanon blaming Israel.

Explosions were heard on Wednesday in Beirut, with ambulances rushing through the streets to bring the wounded to already-overloaded hospitals. The toll of dead and wounded remains to be seen.

Reports said that the two-way radios were purchased five months ago, along with the pagers that exploded.

Scientists are warning of an impending eruption in Tanzania after discovering the country's 'Mountain of God' volcano is bulging.

The Ol Doinyo Lengai volcano, located in the north, was found to be swelling due to magma flowing beneath the Earth's surface.

The 9,718-foot-tall volcano has been active every 20 to 40 years throughout the 20th century, with its last eruption in 2007 spreading ash more than 10 miles away from the site and forcing thousands of people to evacuate.

There has been a 'rapid uplift' in underground magma volcanic activity in the land surrounding the volcano since March 2022, posing a sign of imminent doom.

'We have been able to detect transient motion in volcanic activity, and this is a precursor for any kind of eruption,' said Ntambila Daud, a graduate student at Virginia Tech.

Ol Doinyo Lengai - meaning 'Mountain of God' in Maasai - is considered to be a sacred site by the Maasai tribe who visit it to pray for cures to illness and infertility and ask for relief from any other misfortunes.

Records of the volcano only go back to the 1880s, but it has erupted nine times since with the largest occurring 17 years ago.

The explosion sent ash thousands of feet into the air and spread lava nearly two miles away from its western flank.

Ol Doinyo Lengai is also the only one in the world to spew carbonite lava, a uniquely black or gray-colored lava that turns stark white when it cools.

This contrasts with other active volcanoes that project red, orange or yellow-colored lava that will turn a deep black color when it's exposed to the air and cools.

The different colors relate to the temperature the lave reaches when it hits the surface, with dark red being measured at 887 degrees Fahrenheit, orange at 1,652 degrees Fahrenheit, and white clocking at 2,100 degrees Fahrenheit or higher.

The study's co-author and Virginia Tech associate professor D. Sarah Stamps said, 'The approach used in [their research] provided important steps forward in our understanding of the dynamic magma plumbing system of Ol Doinyo Lengai.'

'This research could help Tanzanian authorities have a better idea of what is happening with the volcano,' she added.

The team used numerical modeling to combine the data, suggesting the uplift originated from magma that stemmed from a depth of about 1.4 miles below the volcano's summit.

This signified an impending eruption that could not only pose a threat to people living in the area but also prevent tourism and air traffic in Tanzania, according to the study published in the journal Advancing Earth and Space Sciences.

Before a volcano erupts, magma will typically gather in a shallow reservoir under the land that causes the Earth's surface to lift - like a balloon expanding underground.

This bulging precursor could continue for weeks, months or even years before a volcano can erupt, according to the US Geological Survey.

In July 2007, Ol Doinyo Lengai erupted, sending ash at least 11 miles downwind and spewed lava that traveled .6 miles down the volcano's western flank.

The eruption forced more than 1,500 people to vacate their homes in the Ngaresero, Orbalal and Nayobi villages when earthquake tremors triggered the blast.

According to a report by the Smithsonian Institution, 'villagers are reported to have heard roaring...before the volcano started discharging ash and lava.'

To predict a future eruption, Virginia Tech researchers analyzed satellite data spanning seven years.

The team installed a Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS) consisting of six satellite-connected sensors at the base of the volcano in 2016.

GNSS systems detect changes in magma reservoirs that can signal a future volcanic blast.

The data revealed there was a 'rapid uplift' in bulging between March and December 2022 and a steady uplift in active magma flooding into the reservoir through August 2023.

The team hopes their findings can help to detect future eruptions early and help people prepare for the next explosion.

Grzegorz Braun, a Polish member of the European Parliament, recently made a strong statement opposing Poland’s alignment with the United States in the ongoing war in Ukraine. He expressed his dissatisfaction with the U.S. Secretary of State's involvement, stating, "Blinken, go home as soon as possible. Get lost! We don't want you here. We don't want Polish people paying and dying for your wars."

US Secretary of State Antony Blinken was on a visit to Poland.

The remarks followed a high-level meeting between the U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken and Poland's Foreign Minister, which concluded with a joint press conference. The discussions centred around Poland’s efforts to push the U.S. into easing restrictions on the use of Western weapons and missiles by Ukraine in its defence against Russia’s aggression.

Polish Foreign Minister Radoslaw Sikorski reiterated this stance during the press conference, calling for continued support of Ukraine. “We should continue to deliver advanced air defence systems (to Ukraine) ... and lift restrictions on the use of long-range weapons," he declared. Sikorski emphasised that enhancing Ukraine’s military capabilities was essential for the country’s defence and regional security.

However, Sikorski also warned of the potential consequences of such a move, cautioning that it could lead to the direct involvement of NATO countries, including the U.S. and European nations, in the war. "If this decision is taken, it will mean nothing less than the direct involvement of NATO countries, the United States and European countries in the war in Ukraine," he said, adding that this would compel Russia to take "appropriate decisions" in response.

With Poland geographically positioned at the front line of any potential escalation beyond Ukraine, there is growing concern about the ramifications of further involvement in the conflict. Poland is wary of the consequences it may face if the war spreads, as the country would likely bear the brunt of any fallout. This fear is shared by many within Poland who are concerned about the escalating tension between NATO and Russia.

This was the same day that British Prime Minister Kier Starmer departed the UK for a meeting with Joe Biden in Washington, DC, to discuss granting permission to Ukraine, to attack Russia with west-supplied, long-range missiles.

According to the authoritative military expert Mikhail Khodarnock, these submarines left their home port and headed to the Atlantic Ocean for a reason, especially considering the fact this happened at the very moment the West began to declare it would allow Ukraine to use western-supplied , long-range, weapons against military installations inside Russia.

Khodarnock expressed confidence that these nuclear submarines are already off the coasts of Britain - waiting for the order to attack.

According to him, if British "Storm Shadow" cruise missiles fly toward Russia, these submarines will destroy the facilities of the British Division of the pan European Missile Systems company, MBDA." Specifically, the company facilities in Stevanage, Bristol, and Bolton, UK.

Citing his own sources in the Russian Defense Ministry, Khodarenock also confirmed the Russians have a clear plan to deter NATO from retaliatory actions.

According to him, immediately after the destruction of facilities of the MDBA Company, inside the United Kingdom, Russia will launch a DEMONSTRATION NUCLEAR STRIKE on one of the areas of the Atlantic Ocean or the North Sea, near the coast of Britain.

Khodarenock expressed confidence that only after this, will British Authorities finally understand it is time for them to stop escalating the situation over Ukraine, since the next time, a nuclear strike can already be inflicted on London, Brussels (Belgium - NATO HQ) and Washington, DC.

In related news, this morning, September 16, 2024, Russian President Vladimir Putin ordered an INCREASE in the size of the Russian Army by 180,000 new troops, to a size of 1.5 Million.

Americans Can't Hide From Nuclear War, Moscow Warns As West Mulls Escalation

The Kremlin has issued yet more warnings following reports that the Biden administration could soon greenlight long-range attacks by Kiev forces on Russian territory using US-supplied arms.

Both the UK and Canada are on board, we reported earlier, and British Prime Minister Ken Starmer is visiting Washington where he's directly lobbying Biden to jump on board and grant Zelensky's urgent request to lift all restrictions on Western weaponry.

However, The New York Times suggests that saner minds are prevailing at this point. "President Biden’s deliberations with Prime Minister Keir Starmer of Britain about whether to allow Ukraine to attack Russia with long-range Western weapons were fresh evidence that the president remains deeply fearful of setting off a dangerous, wider conflict," the publication writes.

Let's hope this is the case, given this is arguably the most dangerous moment and decision-point of the war to date. Pentagon leadership has recently stressed that granting the permission for long-range strikes will do little strategically to change the battlefield, where Russian momentum has continually gained in eastern Ukraine.

Russian Ambassador to the US Anatoly Antonov on Friday added to prior Kremlin warnings, telling Rossiya 24 channel that he fears American leadership and the people are under "illusion".

He said they seem to think that "if there is a conflict, it will not spread to the territory of the United States of America."

Antonov continued by stressing that Americans can't hide from nuclear war if this unthinkable happens. "I am constantly trying to convey to them one thesis that the Americans will not be able to sit it out behind the waters of this ocean. This war will affect everyone, so we constantly say – do not play with this rhetoric," Antonov stated according to state media translation.

As for UK PM Starmer's visit to Washington, The Wall Street Journal had earlier previewed that "While the final decision on Storm Shadow will be made by the U.K. government, British officials will ask for the Biden administration to weigh in because some components of the missiles are made in the U.S."

But based on NSC spokesman John Kirby's words as of Friday afternoon, Washington's policy has not changed and no permission has yet been given to Ukraine.

So far, Ukraine forces have pummeled sights across Russia with drones, but unleashing missiles in the area of Moscow oblast for example would take the war to a whole new level.

President Putin has warned that Russia would make no distinction between Ukraine forces and their NATO suppliers at that point. It won't matter which pulled the trigger.

Do you wonder if he might get around to ‘splainin’ his role with the shady non-governmental orgs (NGOs) supported by the CIA who enabled his travels to Ukraine and his efforts there recruiting global mutts to fight for the Nazi-ish Azov Battalion? Perhaps he might rat-out actual government officials who assisted him in his colorful misadventures? As Ed Snowden remarked on “X”, wannabe Trump assassin Ryan Routh has “something of an Oswald vibe” — meaning, well-groomed by the intel boys, to be used as required.

Perhaps we’ll find out — if nothing fatal happens to befall Mr. Routh while in custody — how exactly he learned Mr. Trump would be on the links that afternoon? The candidate’s round of golf that day was supposedly a snap decision known only amongst his innermost circle. Or how did Mr. Routh figure out the most advantageous fairway to lay at for a clear shot? The FBI is on the case, you may be reassured to know.

Things political are speeding up with the autumnal quickening. The blob is truly and deeply a’fright. So many blobsters will be liable to pay for their multitudinous crimes against the people of this country if Mr. Trump squeaks back into power that such a future is unthinkable to them. And yet, nothing has worked to deactivate this. . . this golden golem stalking the land. Meaning, let NATO technicians work the targeting console to send US or British made rockets any old place over there? Like, Red Square? Or the Winter Palace, St. Petersburg? Find an actual Ukrainian to push the launch button.

How is that not a direct attack on Russia by NATO? Well, of course it is exactly that. Russia’s chief executive, Mr. Putin, clarified it for the Globalist Neocon cohort infesting NATO that such an action would bring. . . “consequences.” That is a word the Neocons are no longer acquainted with; it has been such a long time since they’ve crossed its path, like its boon companion, “truth,” also missing-in-action these days. And, to be fair, Mr. Putin did not specify what the consequences might be, not even a simple metaphor like a mushroom cloud, or an ashtray.

How did they even get “Joe Biden” off the beach for that photo op? It is understood by everyone over ten-years-old in America that “JB” is not available for duty anymore. The “out-to-lunch” sign hangs permanently on the doorknob of the Oval Office now. The USA does not have a functioning chief-of-state for the first time in 235 years. After 2021, some sort of unelected, informal Politburu that self-assembled in the White House, like a clot from a Covid Vaccine shot, is running our affairs. Maybe Kamala Harris has a clue who is in that outfit. Or somebody in the news median could ask her (if she ever gets around to holding an actual news conference, where the questions are not previewed or scripted.) Anyone dare ask?

Kamala Harris is strangely missing from the front page of The New York Times this morning. Is that a little ominous? The debate is behind her. There will not be another, apparently. There is nothing about her schedule on the official campaign website. Has she entered fade-away mode? Is it all over now except for the ballot harvesting and the, uh, little adjustments to the Dominion vote-counting machines? Has the drinking started again?

Doom Is the West’s Future

As I said would happen, Putin’s refusal to quickly win the conflict with Ukraine has widened the conflict into the beginnings of WW III.

Putin himself now acknowledges this fact. In response to a journalist’s question about the consequences of what appears to be a US-UK decision to permit missile strikes from Ukraine deep into Russia, Putin said:

“The Ukrainian army is not capable of using cutting-edge high-precision long-range systems supplied by the West. They cannot do that. These weapons are impossible to employ without intelligence data from satellites which Ukraine does not have. This can only be done using the European Union’s satellites, or US satellites – in general, NATO satellites. This is the first point.

“The second point – perhaps the most important, the key point even – is that only NATO military personnel can assign flight missions to these missile systems. Ukrainian servicemen cannot do this.

“Therefore, it is not a question of allowing the Ukrainian regime to strike Russia with these weapons or not. It is about deciding whether NATO countries become directly involved in the military conflict or not.

“If this decision is made, it will mean nothing short of direct involvement – it will mean that NATO countries, the United States, and European countries are parties to the war in Ukraine. This will mean their direct involvement in the conflict, and it will clearly change the very essence, the very nature of the conflict dramatically.

“This will mean that NATO countries – the United States and European countries – are at war with Russia. And if this is the case, then, bearing in mind the change in the essence of the conflict, we will make appropriate decisions in response to the threats that will be posed to us.”

My comments are as follows:

Putin has been at war with NATO since the 2007 Munich Security Conference when Putin announced that a multi-polar world was replacing Washington’s uni-polar order. In other words, he threw down the gauntlet to the neoconservatives and their agenda of Washington’s hegemony.

Putin possibly did not comprehend how determined neoconservatives are about hegemony, as a hegemonic agenda undoubtably seems unrealistic to Putin. He did not foresee that his challenge would lead directly to Washington’s overthrow of the Ukrainian government and move to make Ukraine a member of NATO.

Once Washington had Ukraine, Washington began building a large Ukrainian army with which to embarrass Putin by suppressing the Donbas Russians. Putin was like a babe in the woods. For eight years while Washington built a Ukrainian army, Putin put his trust in the Minsk Agreement and remained unprepared for the easily predictable war on the horizon.

When Putin was finally forced to intervene, he did so in a foolish way that guaranteed increasing Western involvement, and by never enforcing any of his red lines now has his back to the wall and cannot ignore NATO/US missile strikes into Russia. Finally, he is forced to acknowledge the truth: “the United States and European countries are at war with Russia.” If Putin had been realistic instead of lost in liberal delusions, the war that seems ready to break loose could have been avoided.

As the cautious Gilbert Doctorow wrote four days ago, “a Third World War fought at least initially with conventional weapons is now just days, at most weeks away.” And this is just the Ukraine scene. Another major war is brewing in the Middle East. Whether or not war is that close, Doctorow’s point is well taken. War can’t be far off when the US and UK governments are discussing firing missiles at Russia.

As I wrote two or three days ago, “as talk has been forbidden, war is now a certainty.” Unlike during the Cold War, the West no longer has independent foreign policy experts. With very few exceptions, such as Scott Ritter, Mearsheimer, Doctorow, and myself, the Western “foreign policy community” speaks with one voice: “US good, Russia bad.” That’s about it. Those few of us who are independent of think tanks and university faculties funded by the military/security complex and neoconservative foundations are labeled “Russian agents/dupes” and worse. We are gradually being criminalized. Scott Ritter on his way to a conference in Russia was taken off the flight by the Washington Gestapo. His passport was confiscated, and his home was invaded. Currently, charges are being made against Americans accused of cooperating with “Russian disinformation,” by which is meant reporting a fact or expressing an opinion that is inconsistent with the official narratives.

As one thoroughly experienced with the 20th century Cold War, I know that talk between Americans and Russians was the solution, not the problem. When talk is defined as the problem, as Washington defines it today, war is the result.

And that is where we are headed. Even the cautious and understated Doctorow sees in Washington an “insane recklessness” that threatens life on earth. What is the point of it? Ukraine’s fraudulent borders while our own go undefended?

Americans, Europeans, Russians, indeed the entire world need to understand that in the government in Washington there is not one ounce of intelligence or integrity. The American president is senile. The National Security Council is a collection of morons. Not a single one of them has achieved any distinction other than being a mouthpiece for the military/security complex. The military’s officer ranks have been purged to make room for sexual perverts, women, and “racial minorities.” The notion among conservatives that the US military is going to save us is laughable. The military is tamed with fangs pulled and has been forced to accept zero promotions for white Americans until the military has achieved in the officer ranks “equity” for sexual perverts, women and “racial minorities.”

The ruling establishment is determined to install their puppet Kamala in the White House. She has always prostituted herself to move ahead, and now is her big chance. Unless Democrats get a surprise from Trump winning in blue states, the 2024 election will be stolen in the swing states exactly as it was in 2020. Indeed, as local news reports have made clear, many of the theft mechanisms used in 2020 have been legalized. It is now legal in swing states for the Democrats to steal the election.

When the election is stolen, what will Americans do about it? Nothing. They will accept tyranny before they will fight.

Fighting requires belief, but Americans’ beliefs have been destroyed by decades of liberal/left “education” that has undermined Western civilization by presenting it as a racist, misogynist scheme of exploitation of women and “minorities” by white supremacists. White kids go to taxpayer-financed schools funded by their parents to learn that they have been born into the wrong body and that they, their parents and grandparents are racists who owe reparations to “suppressed minorities.” They are being prepared to pay an additional round of taxes to those declared to be their victims. They are being sexualized at an early age and prepared for pedophiles.

We must be honest. This is a correct portrayal of America and the entire West today. Every Western government is on the side of immigrant-invaders against the ethnic citizens who comprise the countries.

Now, tell me, how can a social, political, belief system this weak go to war with real people such as Russians, Chinese, Iranians? They cannot.

The only future the Western world has is Doom.

After a second failed assassination attempt on former President Donald Trump, more shocking details about Ryan Wesley Routh, the man behind the plot, have emerged. Routh, who was apprehended after attempting to target Trump at his West Palm Beach golf club, has now been linked to the financial giant BlackRock in an eerie twist of events.

As reports have surfaced, both Meta and X (formerly Twitter) have taken swift action to remove Routh’s social media accounts. Routh’s Facebook page was pulled shortly after authorities identified him from a witness photo, and his X account was suspended shortly after the incident. His online footprint revealed a deep well of anti-Trump rhetoric, as well as strong support for Democratic candidates and pro-Ukraine content. Yet, it’s what came to light afterward that raises eyebrows—Routh starred in a commercial for BlackRock, a company tied to elite global interests. Even more bizarre is that Thomas Matthew Crooks, the man who attempted to assassinate Trump at a Pennsylvania rally two months ago, also appeared in a BlackRock ad.

Is this just a strange coincidence, or is there something more at play?

Social media erupted with speculation, with Trump supporters pointing out the disturbing similarities between Routh and Crooks. Both men harbored anti-Trump sentiments, and now both share this unusual connection to BlackRock. The financial giant has been accused of wielding massive influence behind the scenes in everything from politics to media, and these assassins appearing in their ads has fueled growing theories that Trump is being targeted by a shadowy elite cabal.

Adding to the controversy is the fact that after Routh was apprehended, his social media accounts were scrubbed from the internet. This swift move from Meta and X has reignited accusations of Big Tech censorship and election interference, with Trump supporters questioning why Routh’s anti-Trump posts were removed from public view. Is this another attempt by the establishment to control the narrative and protect their own?

Routh, who was found with a scoped AK-style rifle, was reportedly ready to open fire on Trump while he golfed, positioning himself just 300-500 yards from the president. The swift action of the Secret Service saved the day, but the question remains: how did Routh know Trump’s plans, given that the golf outing was a last-minute addition to his schedule?

US sends ‘unserviceable’ military arms to Taiwan

Faulty equipment includes mouldy body armour and damaged pallets

The United States sent faulty military items to Taiwan including mouldy armour and expired ammunition.

Most military equipment that suffered water damage was delivered from November 2023 through March 2024.

They remained at the aerial port of embarkation for more than three months pending air transport to Taiwan.

The army didn’t initiate requests for transportation until the end of 2023, unable to equip sufficient storage capacity. It failed to fully mitigate the exposure of items to adverse weather conditions.

The Department of Defense (DoD) failed to “effectively or efficiently implement accountability and quality controls for items delivered to Taiwan using the Presidential Drawdown Authority”, according to a report issued on Wednesday.

“The DoD provided unserviceable and poorly packaged equipment and munitions to Taiwan.”

Photos clearly show damaged pallets and mouldy body armour that arrived in Taiwan in 2023, including more than 3,000 mildewed body armour plates and 500 wet and mouldy tactical vests.

Personnel at the American Institute in Taiwan (AIT) said the equipment was “soaking wet and full of mould”.

According to the report, Taiwan’s Ministry of National Defense issued a letter to the AIT’s security cooperation office in December 2023, stating that Taiwan had received 2.7 million rounds of ammunition.

This included expired, loose, and rounds of ammunition in the wrong packaging, which did not comply with shipping standards.

AIT described the open boxes of ammunition as “obviously extra boxes” of ammunition that give an impression of the army trying to “clear out stuff they didn’t want”.

Machine guns are also shipped without proper packaging such as serviceability paperwork, labels, wrapping, and cushioning.

The National Defense Authorization Act 2023 authorised the US president to draw down up to $1 billion from existing DoD stock to provide military assistance to Taiwan.

In July last year, Joe Biden approved $345 million worth of military equipment and services to provide assistance to Taiwan.

The delivery of faulty military equipment has led to additional costs for Taiwan authorities and weeks of unpacking, drying and inventorying the wet and mouldy items.

The Army Tank-Automotive and Armaments Command spent $618,894 in labour and materials to clean and dry the body armour, and an additional $113,492 to replace the damaged arms.

“The delivery of non-mission-capable items inhibit the DoD’s ability to achieve established security cooperation goals and may lead to loss of partner confidence in the United States,” the report concluded.

Taiwan’s Ministry of National Defense told local media that the subject matter is jointly reviewed and addressed by both Taiwan and the US.

US Allows Ukraine to Use Long-Range Missiles to Target Russian Territory After Iranian Missiles Delivery.

Citing information published by "People's World" on September 11, 2024, Moscow claimed that the U.S. has given the green light for Ukraine to use long-range missiles against Russian targets. This development comes as part of a broader international effort to support Ukraine, with several European countries also backing Kyiv’s use of long-range weapons to strike Russian targets.

On September 3, 2024, "Reuters" announced that the U.S. is nearly finalizing an agreement to supply Ukraine with Joint Air-to-Surface Standoff Missiles (JASSM), which can reach deep into Russian territory. These missiles are expected to be delivered to Ukraine as part of a weapons package by autumn. The move is seen as a significant escalation in the conflict, as Ukraine will now be able to strike further into Russian territory than ever before.

The Joint Air-to-Surface Standoff Missile (JASSM) is a long-range, precision-guided cruise missile developed by Lockheed Martin for the U.S. military. It is designed to be launched from aircraft and strike high-value, well-defended targets from a safe distance, reducing the risk to pilots. The missile is equipped with advanced stealth technology to evade enemy radar and has a range of up to 370 km (230 miles) in its basic version, with an extended-range variant (JASSM-ER) reaching over 900 km (560 miles). Ukraine initially asked the United States to let it use long-range ATACMS missiles to hit Russian airfields, but now potential targets for Ukraine's long-range strikes include Russian military command centres, fuel and weapons depots and troop concentrations.

Details: Two European diplomats, speaking on condition of anonymity, said that Ukraine has given the US and UK a list of potential targets in Russia that could be hit by Western long-range weapons if allowed.

The officials say that the Ukrainians initially wanted to use US long-range ATACMS missiles to hit Russian air bases.

However, the Pentagon has said that 90% of Russian aircraft that launch glide bombs, one of the main threats to Ukraine, are based at airfields at least 300 kilometres from Ukrainian-controlled territory. This puts them out of range of ATACMS systems.

The officials say that Ukraine now wants to use the missiles to strike Russian military command centres, fuel and weapons depots and troop concentrations.

In addition to the US-supplied ATACMS, Kyiv wants to strike Russia from afar using UK-provided Storm Shadow missiles and the French SCALP missiles, which are virtually equivalent to the Storm Shadows.

Although the UK is expected to seek US approval before lifting the restrictions on Storm Shadow missiles, a French diplomatic source said Paris does not need Washington's permission for Ukraine to use French missiles, the publication said.

Reuters writes that while the US and the UK are discussing the possibility of allowing Ukraine to use Western weapons to strike deep into Russia, some US officials are deeply sceptical that this will have a significant impact on Kyiv's fight against Russia.

U.S. officials noted that Ukraine already has the capability to strike targets in Russia using drones. The US long-range ATACMS missiles could enhance this capability, but they are too expensive and limited in number to change the dynamic, they said.

In addition, the Kremlin has largely removed perhaps the most immediate threat – Russian aircraft carrying glide bombs – from the range of U.S. missiles, U.S. officials said.

They also assumed Kyiv should focus on stopping the Russian offensive on Ukraine’s east.

The final and most serious of Moscow's "red lines" was crossed this week after the United States decided to "allow" Ukraine to use the weapons it and other Western nations donated to strike targets deep within Russian territory.

Washington's plan, according to Congressman Michael McCaul (R-Tex.) as cited by Axios journalist Juliegrace Brufke, is to lift all restrictions on Kiev's use of U.S.-provided ATACMs (Army Tactical Missile System). President Biden has confirmed that Washington is "working that out now."

Pretty much all the other major Western nations are in agreement that crossing Vladimir Putin's infamous red lines is both "permissible" and reasonable in light of all the deep state assets and criminal schemes, i.e., human trafficking, that are protected by Ukraine's very existence under Volodymyr Zelensky.

Up until now, the West has merely been sending Ukraine the weapons and letting Zelensky do with them as he wishes, just so long as he does not use them to strike deep within Russian territory. This changed after Zelensky threw a hissy fit and demanded that he be allowed to use all of his new toys where Putin told him not to.

"So far, the United States has given Kiev about $200 billion or more in both funding and military equipment and weapons," reports SHTFplan.com about these latest developments.

"Kiev has been clamoring for the restrictions against using long-range missiles as long-range missiles to be lifted since May. That also begs the question; was the U.S. always going to 'allow' Ukraine to cross Russia's red lines? Because Washington did give kiev [sic] the long-range weaponry, so why would they ban them from using it indefinitely?"

Truth be told, the West likely planned this whole thing out ages ago. Western powers pretended to just be arming Ukraine for its own "self-defense," knowing all the while that eventually Zelensky would use them against Russia in a major provocation towards World War III.

"This should serve as a warning for the U.S.," SHTFplan.com warns. "If Kiev does strike Russian territory using these donated weapons, it may be the final straw as Russia's last red line is crossed."

U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken announced the policy changes this week during a visit to Kiev with David Lammy, his United Kingdom counterpart.

"I talked to Blinken two days ago, and he is traveling with his counterpart from the UK to Kiev to basically tell them that they will allow them [to hit Russia with ATACMS]," McCaul confirmed.

According to State Department spokesman Matt Miller, Blinken flew to Kiev "to show continued support for Ukraine's defense." Miller made no mention of any policy changes being made.

What Blinken did was merely "signal," according to Bloomberg, that Washington intends to change the rules now that reports have surfaced claiming that Iran has supplied Russia with ballistic missiles. Iran, in response, claims it did no such thing, claiming it supports neither side of the conflict.

Whenever the U.S. needs an excuse to send more cash or weapons to foreign criminals, it most often trots out the "Iran is producing nuclear weapons" line. In this case, they upped the ante by claiming that Iran is sending those nuclear weapons to Russia, the other bogeyman Washington routinely uses to try to push unpopular foreign policy.

"Forget that we are supporting a fake president, forget that we are supporting an aggressor on RF (Russian Federation) territory and forget that we are supporting a cabal that is killing Christians only. What is this mindset? You can't understand their mental setup anymore," one commenter wrote about the insanity of the West.
