Good morning to all our friends all over the world. God is so good. Things are changing at our church do to growth. Name change and new web page. Its under construction. Basically, we are in Biddeford Me, not far from the beautiful ocean. We were know as the End Time Harvest Center, but there is a cult by that name, so we asked God and came up with the new name just this week. New Life Church. www.newfemaine.org. We do not normally give this out as people seek churches, not God. We are about 25,000 in size with Soca so close we could be one, another 16,000 not counting Summer months. So we are about 42,000 give or take a little. I hope this helps. If your drawing a circle, you cannot go out much from us, as the ocean is there. :):):) So we are not over the limits God set for a hub. Good evening! Jake came on the chat for payer. "I need help. I am old and I live alone. I cannot get up. I had to crawl to the computer. I have been sick for three days and I do not have a fire going. It is cold. I can see my breath. Please pray for me."..... After I prayed for him, he became warm and he could stand up. While he was talking to me, God sent his angels to start a fire, bring in wood in the wood box and, put soup in the kettle. He said there was wood there to last maybe 5 days and enough soup to last 3 days. He said someone would check on him by then......"Oh, thank you so very much, I did not even see anyone. US trade gap hits record in 2005 The size of the US trade deficit has worried analysts and politicians The US trade deficit widened in December, pushing the shortfall for 2005 to record levels. In December, the deficit was $65.7bn (£37bn) compared with $64.7bn in November. The 2005 deficit was $725.8bn, almost 18% more than in 2004. While exports have climbed, they have struggled to keep up as record oil prices, strong consumer demand and cheap foreign goods boosted imports. New Abu Ghraib images broadcast Abuse footage An Australian TV channel has broadcast previously unpublished images showing apparent US abuse of prisoners in Iraq's Abu Ghraib jail in 2003. China To Cause Oil Price Rises What will China do when the oil runs out? The hair-raising amount it now costs you to fill up your car with petrol is apparently all China's fault! Or so you might think to read some of the more alarmist reports in the western media. China has, we are told, been running around the world signing oil deals with everyone from Iran, to Sudan to Angola. Mudslides!!!! God said we would see mudslides this week! Here is just one of them.....A mudslide buried hundreds of houses and an elementary school in an eastern Philippine village today, killing an estimated 300 people and leaving another 1,500 missing, a Red Cross official said. Hi Tom, So the cookie train has slowed down. LOL It is a rough road if the train stops completely. The cookie train got completely canceled here, gone entirely. Now what comes next are ginger snaps or fig bars from the store and purchasing dept (Sharon) doesn’t think Lee should overdose on them either. Sharon, not Lee of course, Sharon pushed the stop button and stuck to it, went from dress size 12 to 6. First treat this year today, a pie (Coconut Cream) BUT GET THIS the ingredients are fat free, sugar free, vanilla pudding and fat free cool whip and Sharon won’t even eat that, I know all about dry spells. If I stop after church and buy donut’s you should see the looks I get from the other side of the car. That ok, I still do it anyway. Good afternoon! Sorry I did not get this on this morning...... We had some street kids come off the streets today. I prayed for them and Jesus set them free and the chips came out. Now they will be safe..... Andy came on to ask for prayer. One of his arms was half the size of the other one. After I prayed for him, he felt someone pulling on his arm and he looked and his arm and hand were normal. Praise God for His wonderful Miracles..... Hello everyone...Another prophecy has come true. Did not the Lord tell us that America would start losing her allies and respect in the world and that His protection would be taken from us? That we would see an increase in terrorism? According to the Baltimore Sun on Feb. 16, the United Arab Emirates have control over significant operations at six American ports. These ports include New York, New Jersey, Baltimore, New Orleans, Miami and Philadelphia. Does our government have blinders on? Do they think that our borders will now be safer? Praise report! This last Saturday I had hurt my wrist and thought that I had broken it. I was taking pain meds every four hours. I asked the Lord to heal it. By Saturday night it was better, but I still had to take the pain medication. I went to church with it bothering me. I listened to the pastors sermon about his own healing and just kept standing on what I knew God would do, by 4:30pm Sunday my wrist was completely healed, the swelling and pain were gone and I had complete movement once again. Iraqi capital hit by three blasts Iraq has been hit by a wave of sectarian violence in the past week At least 30 people have been killed and 130 injured by three bomb attacks in Baghdad, only a day after the lifting of a curfew imposed following violence. In the eastern New Baghdad district, 20 people were killed and 100 injured when a suicide bomber blew himself up next to a petrol station. Ten others were killed and 30 wounded in two car bomb attacks in New Baghdad and in the central Karrada district. The attacks came as the trial of former Iraqi leader Saddam Hussein resumed. The former president and seven co-defendants are charged with killing 148 people in Dujail after a failed assassination attempt against him. China warns Taiwan of 'disaster' Mr Chen officially called the council 'absurd' China has warned that Taiwan's decision to scrap a council on reunification with the mainland could bring disaster. The move will "create antagonism and conflict within Taiwan and across the strait," China's ruling Communist Party and government said in a statement. Mr Chen announced on Monday that the National Unification Council and its guidelines would "cease to function" due to China's "military threat". China said Mr Chen was pushing Taiwan towards formal independence. China and Taiwan have been governed separately since a civil war ended in 1949, but China still sees Taiwan as its territory and has threatened to use force if the island moves towards declaring independence. Djelfa, which had 70cm, was "totally paralysed", the Algerian Press Agency reported. At least 60cm of snow blanketed villages near Djelfa and Medea, respectively 270km and 80km south of Algiers. The United States is pushing the UN to warn Iran it could "face consequences" for refusing to stop the programme. In a harsh statement, Iran said the US was "susceptible to harm and pain. Mr Hussein and seven other officials are on trial for their alleged role in mass killings in Dujail. Almost 150 villagers were killed in the town in 1982 after an assassination attempt on the then Iraqi leader. 'Confessed' Awad Hamad al-Bandar, the chief judge of the Revolutionary Court in the early 1980's, acknowledged sentencing 148 Shias to death, but said the men were given a proper trial. He told the court that all the men confessed at the two-week hearing. "They attacked the president of the republic and they confessed," he told the court. He said the group admitted acting on "orders coming from Iran", who Iraq was fighting at the time. Saddam denounces 'comedy' court Saddam Hussein says he is still the leader of Iraq Ousted Iraqi leader Saddam Hussein has begun his first formal defence at his trial for crimes against humanity by describing the court as a "comedy". The judge closed the hearing to the public after Saddam Hussein called on the Iraqi people to "resist invaders". A potent storm system is now emerging out of the Rockies and is currently taking shape in the central Plains. The storm system will work with building surface moisture over the Plains emanating from the Gulf, an energetic jet stream nosing into Kansas and Oklahoma, and a potent upper disturbance originating out of the Four Corners to trigger strong-to-severe thunderstorms. These nasty storms will initiate over Nebraska and Kansas and then build south into Oklahoma and north Texas. As always with any severe weather event, the storms will contain the threat of damaging winds (60+ mph), large hail (golfball size or bigger), and several tornadoes. The highest threat of tornadoes exists in eastern Kansas and northeastern Oklahoma especially by this afternoon. Stubby Manning from the hospital in Baltimore, Maryland was just on for a miracle. He is a young boy from the children's home who lost his parents when he was 4. He didn't have any hair and nails and was very weak. He began to get hungry as he hadn't been hungry because the doctors said he didn't have a stomach. As he continued to chat he said,"Wow, I have nails, I have nails!" The color was beginning to come back into his face and he said it was like he saw an angel or something. He said he was only 42 pounds. I asked him if he had Jesus in his heart and he said no, but he wanted to. So he prayed and asked Jesus into his heart! He also would like parents, so I told him God would give him parents as well. I know God has someone who wants him for a son. The helper who brought Stubby to the computer was Robert and he said he wants to be a believer. They had to go, so I didn't have time to pray with him, but I know he will be a believer. Good Morning! Yesterday we had some street kids come off the streets. I prayed for them and Jesus set them free and caused the chips to fall out. Now they are in safety. Praise God for that!........ Stubby came back on the chat. He said they ran all kinds of tests and couldn't find anything. He also was hungry and they fed him and he had a regular bowl movement. The doctors still can't figure it out LOL, But we know it is a miracle from God. He even had strength to push a girl in a wheel chair to come and get prayer. The girl he brought was 7 years old. I prayed for her and I know she has her miracle too. They couldn't stay much longer, but before they left the little girl was feeling hot all over :):):) Stubby said, "I know that feeling, it was when I got my miracle, and I know she has her miracle too." Europe's Alps could lose three-quarters of their glaciers to climate change during this coming century. That is the conclusion of new research from the World Glacier Monitoring Service (WGMS) in Zurich. Scientists base their conclusion on forecasts of temperature and precipitation changes in a new computer model of Alpine glaciation. Glaciers are crucial in providing fresh drinking water, and are also key for tourism, irrigation and hydro-power. There is already strong evidence of a major ongoing melt down. In the 1850s, according to WGMS data presented at the European Geosciences Union (EGU) annual meeting in Vienna, nearly 4,474 sq km of the Alps were glaciated, and in 2000, it was down to 2,272 sq km. "From 1850 to the 1970s, there is an average loss of 2.9% per decade," WGMC's Michael Zemp told EGU delegates. "From 2000 to now it is 8.2% per decade, and we see most of that increase since 2000," he said. Warm projections As temperatures rise, the minimum altitude at which glaciers form also rises. To some extent that can be mitigated by changes in precipitation; more snow in winter will help glaciers accumulate more ice. The WGMS has developed a computer model which calculates what projected temperature and precipitation changes for the Alps will mean for the glaciation altitude. According to the OCCC, a national Swiss scientific grouping, summers are likely to get warmer by about 6C before the end of the century. "The summer temperature increase of 6C, will be very bad for glaciers," Dr Zemp told the BBC News website. Christina Desforges, of Saguenay, Quebec, died last week after she failed to respond to days of treatment. She had been given an adrenaline shot, a standard treatment for anaphylactic shock, almost immediately after she suffered a reaction. A peanut allergist in Montreal said the case is "very rare and worrisome". Ms Desforges' 16-year-old boyfriend had kissed her some nine hours after he had eaten peanut butter on toast, the AFP news agency reported. "She was extremely allergic to peanuts and her boyfriend didn't know," a reporter for Canadian broadcaster TVA said. By studying the guts of mice, the Institute of Food Research team tracked exactly how peanuts are digested. This told them how large amounts of peanut proteins travel quickly through the gut to the immune system and trigger an allergic response. Their findings will appear in Biochemical and Biophysical Research Communications. This may be important in explaining strong allergic reactions to peanuts. Lead researcher Dr Claudio Nicoletti The team found that digestion through the stomach and small intestine produced large amounts of soluble protein but also large, intact structures made of protein. They then labelled the proteins with gold so they could track their movement. The peanut proteins were delivered at high speed through the gut via cells called M-cells. Dear God's Servant, I am 58yrs of age, male from Pondy State, India. My condition is detoriating more, I am put on urinary Catheter and I am hanging the catheter in my wheel chair. I am getting boils like Job in the legs. My spinal chord has thinned down due to degenration of nerves and Non-Compressive Myelopathy and Diabetes Milletus and lost all strength to get up from bed and sit in wheel chair and no question about walking at all for the past 3yrs. My 7 year old granddaughter has leukemia. She was to get a bone marrow transplant on April 17th. However, they thought they found leukemia in her bone marrow so they postponed it. She didn 't have the leukemia in her bone marrow but they found fluid with leukemia cells around her heart. She is in ICU. If the Doctors cannot drain out the fluid and stop it from building up with chemo-therapy, they said there is nothing else thay can do. Good Morning! Jason was on the chat asking for prayer. He is from Kentucky. They were 2 miles from the center of a tornado and their town lost 30 homes. It hit the feed mill and the school. The children were fine but the town is a mess. There are 11 dead and 37 hurt. He said it would be days before there would be power or anything as they have alot of trees to clean up and things. He drove 30 miles to be able to come and chat. He said they really need prayer as for 30 homes to be hit it alot for their town. Explosion kills 20 at Iraq mosque Wednesday saw bomb attacks across Iraq such as this in Khalis A car bomb has killed 20 people and injured around 80 at a Shia mosque in a town close to the Iraq city of Baquba. The bomb went off just after dark as worshippers filled a busy market street in Howaider, 36 miles (60km) north-east of the capital Baghdad. Some of the casualties were taken to a nearby US base for treatment. Iraq's politicians have failed to make any progress on forming a new government. They are now due to hold a session of parliament next Monday. The country has been hit by a wave of violence between Iraq's two main Muslim branches, the Sunni and Shia, which was sparked by the destruction of a Shia shrine in Samarra in February. Iran brushes off uranium worries Iran has refused to halt work on uranium enrichment Iran has again insisted it will keep enriching uranium in spite of growing international concern that it is pursuing nuclear weapons. Ali Larijani, its top nuclear official, said demands to halt the programme were "irrational" and he advised other states "not to repeat past mistakes". US senators have called for direct talks between America and Iran. New satellite photographs published in the US appear to show Iran has expanded and reinforced its main nuclear plants. Uranium conversion facilities at Isfahan look to have been expanded while an underground uranium enrichment plant at Natanz appears to have been reinforced, the US-based Institute for Science and International Security (Isis) think-tank reports. According to Isis, Natanz's two subterranean cascade halls have been buried by successive layers of earth and concrete and the roof of the halls is now eight metres (26 feet) underground. "Iran is taking extraordinary precautions to try to protect its nuclear assets," David Albright, the ex-UN arms inspector who heads Isis, told Reuters news agency. War of words "Iran will follow its nuclear programme with patience," Mr Larijani was quoted as saying by state news agency Irna on Monday. Civilians injured 'by US forces' The government has warned US-led forces not to injure civilians Six people, including a mother and her newborn baby, have been injured in two incidents in eastern Afghanistan, reportedly by American forces. Both the incidents took place in Khost province. A six-year-old boy was also injured in one of the incidents. The reports come as President Hamid Karzai has ordered a probe into the killing of seven civilians by coalition forces over the weekend. Here we go again. The more we talk about war with Iran, the higher our oil prices go. They say that we could see 12-to15 dollars a gallon if we attack Iran or they cut their oil off.......... Nuclear row sends oil to new high Traders are worried about instability in Iran and Nigeria Oil prices have hit a record high of $70.88 a barrel, fuelled by growing fears over Iran's nuclear standoff with the international community. US light, sweet crude rose 48 cents in Asian trading, passing last year's previous high of $70.85 reached after Hurricane Katrina. Prices have risen 16% in the past month as Iran's nuclear row has worsened and Nigerian supplies have been disrupted. Brent crude hit also hit a new record of $72.20 a barrel in London. By early afternoon, US light sweet crude was trading at $70.75 while Brent crude had eased slightly to $71.91. Iran issue Analysts said that prices would continue to head upwards as long as Iran's dispute with the international community over its nuclear intentions remained unresolved.......This hurt all people all over the world. Just a little history on what Oil has done and will yet do!!!..... Oil and what it represents - energy - have always been a source of conflict........ Oil was a factor in Japan's surprise 1941 attack on Pearl Harbor The Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor had its origins, at least in part, in a decision by the United States to limit oil exports to Japan in 1941 in response to the Japanese invasion of China. Japan was almost totally reliant on imported oil, mainly from the United States, and it needed oil for its navy. It concluded that if the American tap was going to be turned off, it would have to get its oil elsewhere. This was a factor in its decision to invade the oil-rich Dutch-held Indonesian islands. Coups and power-play Japan still relies on imported oil but this now comes substantially from the Middle East, another part of the world where oil has long played a vital role. Kuwaiti wells on fire in 1991 after the Iraqi invasion Britain first became interested in the Gulf because of its maritime interests, long before oil was discovered. Then, when oil extraction was developed in the 1930s, the strategic value of the region increased significantly. Other powers began to get interested, especially the United States. The West was determined to secure the Gulf as a main source of its energy. Oil played its part in a 1953 coup in Iran - organised by the US and Britain. They managed to overthrow an elected prime minister, Mohammed Mossadegh, and installed Shah Reza Pahlavi whose reign came to an inglorious end at the hands of Islamic fundamentalists in 1979. Click to find out who has oil, who uses it and how much it costs In graphics Mossadegh's main sin was to have nationalised the British-owned Anglo Iranian oil company. Just how far the United States was prepared to go for oil was shown by the recent release of documents from the British National Archives. An intelligence assessment by the British government in January revealed that in 1973 Washington drew up a plan to seize oilfields in Saudi Arabia, Kuwait and Abu Dhabi to counter an Arab oil embargo against the West. One recent study paper by an American military analyst even suggests that one day the United States and Europe might be in conflict over dwindling Middle East oil supplies. The analyst, Major Chris Jeffries, Assistant Professor at the US Air Force Academy wrote: "Is it unthinkable that the US might enter into an agreement with the Middle East to secure its supply over the interests of the other industrialized nations - including Europe?" Gulf wars The intervention by the United States and its allies over Kuwait in 1991 was in large part motivated by a need to secure oil and also to prevent Saddam Hussein from expanding his access to it. And, although the more recent war with Iraq had other motives as well, oil was a factor as the US Vice President Dick Cheney, warning of Iraq's ambitions, said in August 2002: "Saddam Hussein could then be expected to seek domination of the entire Middle East [and] take control of a great proportion of the world's energy supplies..." Will Baku see another oil boom? But oil does not just produce outside intervention. It can produce internal abuse of power. Saddam Hussein himself is a prime example: it was oil that gave him the resources with which to arm himself. Looking ahead, new areas of interest are opening up, especially the Caspian Sea where a new "Great Game" is developing to mirror the rivalry between Russia and Great Britain in Asia in the 19th Century. One of the countries at the heart of Caspian Sea development is Azerbaijan and it is instructive perhaps to recall that its capital, Baku, was once the capital of the world's oil exports. That was back in the early 20th Century. Baku became an international city, with grand villas built by locals who had got rich and foreigners who came to get rich. The city even put up an ornate opera house to mark its prestige. The new black gold Baku's oil was a target for the German army in World War I and the city was briefly occupied by a British contingent. It was then taken by the Soviets, equally keen on getting at the black gold. Hitler aimed for it again in World War II and predicted that if Germany did not get oil from the Caucus Mountains it would lose the war. Looking even further ahead to when the oil runs out or at least significantly runs down, it may be that the world turns again to nuclear power. In which case those countries with uranium deposits would become among the most attractive. The top ten are: Australia, Kazakhstan, Canada, South Africa, Namibia, Brazil, Russia, USA, Uzbekistan and China....Now Iran seems to have a upper hand until someone takes it from them.....Love, Jake from S. China 'selling prisoners' organs' By Jill McGivering BBC News Chinese officials have denied the allegations Top British transplant surgeons have accused China of harvesting the organs of thousands of executed prisoners a year to sell for transplants. The British Transplantation Society condemned the practice as unacceptable and a breach of human rights, in a statement released on Wednesday. The move comes less than a week after Chinese officials publicly denied the practice. In March, China said it would ban the sale of human organs from July. 'Selection' The British Transplantation Society says an accumulating weight of evidence suggests the organs of thousands of executed prisoners in China are being removed for transplants without consent. Professor Stephen Wigmore, who chairs the society's ethics committee, told the BBC that the speed of matching donors and patients, sometimes as little as a week, implied prisoners were being selected before execution.....Love, Red from NM

The law, which will take effect next year, prevents illegal immigrants from receiving many social services. It will also require police and employers to report undocumented workers to the Immigration Service. Complex issue The signing of the legislation comes amid deadlock in the US Congress about how to deal with illegal immigration, as well as nationwide protests by worried Latino groups. "The referred legislation incurs discriminatory acts against the Mexican population and those of Mexican origin," Mr Aguilar said. "It is a partial measure that fails to resolve the complex phenomenon of immigration between Mexico and the United States in an integral manner." Since becoming Mexico's president in 2000, Vicente Fox has been pressing for reforms that would allow more Mexicans to work legally in the US. 'Not anti-immigrant' Georgia Governor Sonny Perdue, who signed the bill, said it was intended to ensure that everyone who lives in Georgia abides by the laws there. "It is our responsibility to ensure that our famous Georgia hospitality is not abused, that our taxpayers are not taken advantage of and that our citizens are protected," Mr Perdue. "I want to make this clear: we are not, Georgia's government is not, and this bill is not anti-immigrant," Gov Perdue said. Good evening! We had street kids come off the streets today. Jesus set them free and they are on their way to safety. One had a miracle take place as well..... Also we had a couple truckers on for prayer. Redwagon needed prayer so his truck would work right so he could make his stop on time, and not loose money. Roadking wanted prayer so he would have clear roads, as there was suppose to be snow where he was traveling through, and he wanted to get home for his family. I prayed for both of them and I Know God has worked on their behalf and they will make their stops on time and be able to be home at perfect timing. God is so good!!! Iran threatens to end UN contacts Larijani's comments come ahead of a UN deadline on Iran's activities Iran's chief nuclear negotiator, Ali Larijani, has said his country will suspend contacts with the UN's nuclear watchdog if sanctions are imposed. He also said Iran would "hide" its nuclear programme if it was attacked. He said their oil would be cut off from their enemies and they were prepared to go to war if need be. US Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice said Iran's threats further isolated it from the international community. The Security Council has set a deadline of 28 April for a freeze in uranium enrichment, the focus of concerns that Iran could acquire nuclear weapons. Iranians can threaten but they are deepening their own isolation Condoleezza Rice The US is trying to rally support from the Security Council for tougher action against Iran, including sanctions - a move currently being resisted by Russia and China. Speaking after a meeting with the Greek foreign minister during an official one-day visit, Ms Rice said Iran's threats were "emblematic of the kind of Iranian behaviour seen over the past couple of years". Ms Rice said the international community was not prepared to allow Iran "under cover of a civil nuclear programme to acquire the technologies that could lead to a nuclear weapon". Green mini-car to beat congestion See the car drive A tiny, three-wheeled car that could help solve city congestion has been demonstrated at the University of Bath. The prototype Clever (Compact Low Emission Vehicle for Urban Transport) car is one metre wide and less polluting than normal vehicles. It has a top speed of 100 km/h (60mph) and uses a novel tilting chassis to make it safe and manoeuvrable. The traffic-busting two-seater is the result of a 40-month project by researchers in nine European countries. The three-year, £1.5m EU-funded research project aimed to produce a totally different class of private motor vehicle specifically designed for the urban environment. "The only solutions at the moment are motorbikes or cars" said Ben Drew, a research officer at the University of Bath, one of the institutions involved in the project. "The idea is to try to marry the small size and efficiency of a motorcycle with the comfort and safety of a standard car," he said. Micro-mini The finished vehicle looks like the big brother of the ill-conceived Sinclair C5. However, the Clever car may drive the field of alternative vehicles further forward than Sir Clive Sinclair's invention. Crash test The team from Bath also had to design a novel chassis that keeps the narrow vehicle from rolling over when it turns corners. Dorairaj basically from Kanyakumari District, Tamilnadu , India , and am presently working in Saudi Arabia as a Planning Engineer by the Grace of almighty. Brother, I would like to request you to pray for my married family life which is full of painful and sorrows at present as my wife is completely enraptured by evil sprit. We loved both each other very much in the first one and half years after marriage. We haven’t faced any problem as we were running a prayerful family life. She loved me a lot when she was staying with me and went for delivery to her home in July 2004, delivered baby girl on Sep 20th 2004. I praised God for His blessing and named as Jane in the meaning of Gods Gracious Gift (Hebrew name). After delivery my wife's behavior is totally changed. Actually just before the delivery she faced the horrible itching problem which was unbearable even doctors couldn’t diagnosis what the real problem was. After delivery I went in December and subsequently in April also to her home to see both. I felt the changes in her results she started hating me, shouting, anger, rude talk, running out from home telling that I will kill myself, telling wrong against me to others, least interested in prayers, no faith in God, etc. Her each and every talk hurts me a lot. So at times I used to get emotional so do mistakes when it beyond the limit due to my mankind weakness and I pray God for patience lest I shouldn’t do mistakes. She is totally blaming me as wrong person to everyone of her people and others telling lies and accusing very bad against me. I arranged family visa and she came here with my baby here after lot of hurdles on 29th Sep 2005 and left from here on 1st Dec 2005 due to the problems, she created problem and left from me as her main intention is to go to that home. Within the two months full of painful and sorrows. She was not at all interested in prayers. Full of cruelty in her face. Actually, she was wearing a black thread in her leg (evil thing) when she was coming here. She didn’t answer about that although I wanted to know what it is. Now she is at her mother's home telling that she will not come and join me and also talking so many hurtful ugly words to me to make me to react with the aim of finding faults from me and insulting me to other people let them go against me and torturing me. It seems that devil is playing in our family life. I am each and every moment praying and holding my Lord my God to give peace in my life and patience in such situation as I do mistakes at times by reacting her attacks. Brother, I believe and trust the Almighty He will never my face be ashamed. "This trial is for short period, world will laugh at me, but my sorrow will become joyful". "En Theven Ennai kaividave Mattar". This marriage has been arranged by His will, His will must be fulfilled. So I will not leave Him (my God) until His will be fulfilled. By Leonard Ravenhill The prophet in his day is fully accepted of God and totally rejected by men. Years back, Dr. Gregory Mantle was right when he said, "No man can be fully accepted until he is totally rejected." The prophet of the Lord is aware of both these experiences. They are his "brand name." The group, challenged by the prophet because they are smug and comfortably insulated from a perishing world in their warm but untested theology, is not likely to vote him "Man of the year" when he refers to them as habituates of the synagogue of Satan! The prophet comes to set up that which is upset. His work is to call into line those who are out of line! He is unpopular because he opposes the popular in morality and spirituality. In a day of faceless politicians and voiceless preachers, there is not a more urgent national need than that we cry to God for a prophet! The function of the prophet, as Austin-Sparks once said, "has almost always been that of recovery." The prophet is God's detective seeking for a lost treasure. The degree of his effectiveness is determined by his measure of unpopularity. Compromise is not known to him. He has no price tags. He is totally "otherworldly." He is unquestionably controversial and unpardonably hostile. He marches to another drummer! He breathes the rarefied air of inspiration. He is a "seer" who comes to lead the blind. He lives in the heights of God and comes into the valley with a "thus saith the Lord." He shares some of the foreknowledge of God and so is aware of impending judgment. He lives in "splendid isolation." He is forthright and outright, but he claims no birthright. His message is "repent, be reconciled to God or else...!" His prophecies are parried. His truth brings torment, but his voice is never void. He is the villain of today and the hero of tomorrow. He is excommunicated while alive and exalted when dead! He is dishonored with epithets when breathing and honored with epitaphs when dead. He is a schoolmaster to bring us to Christ, but few "make the grade" in his class. He is friendless while living and famous when dead. He is against the establishment in ministry; then he is established as a saint by posterity. He eats daily the bread of affliction while he ministers, but he feeds the Bread of Life to those who listen. He walks before men for days but has walked before God for years. He is a scourge to the nation before he is scourged by the nation. He announces, pronounces, and denounces! He has a heart like a volcano and his words are as fire. He talks to men about God. He carries the lamp of truth amongst heretics while he is lampooned by men. He faces God before he faces men, but he is self-effacing. He hides with God in the secret place, but he has nothing to hide in the marketplace. He is naturally sensitive but supernaturally spiritual. He has passion, purpose and pugnacity. He is ordained of God but disdained by men. Our national need at this hour is not that the dollar recover its strength, or that we save face over the Watergate affair, or that we find the answer to the ecology problem. We need a God-sent prophet! I am bombarded with talk or letters about the coming shortages in our national life: bread, fuel, energy. I read between the lines from people not practiced in scaring folk. They feel that the "seven years of plenty" are over for us. The "seven years of famine" are ahead. But the greatest famine of all in this nation at this given moment is a FAMINE OF THE HEARING OF THE WORDS OF GOD (Amos 8:11). Millions have been spent on evangelism in the last twenty-five years. Hundreds of gospel messages streak through the air over the nation every day. Crusades have been held; healing meetings have made a vital contribution. "Come-outers" have "come out" and settled, too, without a nation-shaking revival. Organizers we have. Skilled preachers abound. Multi-million dollar Christian organizations straddle the nation. BUT where, oh where, is the prophet? Where are the incandescent men fresh from the holy place? Where is the Moses to plead in fasting before the holiness of the Lord for our moldy morality, our political perfidy, and sour and sick spirituality? Let him reject ecclesiastical favors. Let him be self-abasing, nonself-seeking, nonself-projecting, nonself- righteous, nonself-glorying, nonself-promoting. Let him say nothing that will draw men to himself but only that which will move men to God. Let him come daily from the throne room of a holy God, the place where he has received the order of the day. Let him, under God, unstop the ears of the millions who are deaf through the clatter of shekels milked from this hour of material mesmerism. Let him cry with a voice this century has not heard because he has seen a vision no man in this century has seen. God send us this Moses to lead us from the wilderness of crass materialism, where the rattlesnakes of lust bite us and where enlightened men, totally blind spiritually, lead us to an ever-nearing Armageddon. God have mercy! Send us PROPHETS!
Thank you Brother Tom. I wept as I read this and my heart was stured. I thought about our two prophets of this site. How they speak the truth that is not always wanted by others. They told us about Canada, Florida and the other false moves. They told us about 911, 9 months before it took place. Every major and many minor events, they have told us. Iraq vice-president sister killed Mr Hashemi was elected as vice-president last weekend The sister of newly appointed Iraqi Vice-President Tariq al-Hashemi has been killed in a drive-by shooting in the capital Baghdad. Meysoun al-Hashemi and her bodyguard were gunned down while driving through the Hai al-Ilam part of the city shortly after leaving her home. The attack follows the killing of one of Mr Hashemi's brothers on 13 April. In a separate incident, three Italian soldiers and one Romanian were killed by a bombing in southern Iraq. I am writing to you to ask you to Pray for Daniel Painter. He was given a position at work working 3-11 Monday through Thursday and 4-12 on Friday. Well there are several issues going on at work that are not good. Plus he is not getting breaks and is having to work over ever night during the week and then on Friday he gets held over into Saturday morning anywhere between 4-6 am. Well it is not only wearing him out but he has a bad heart and this is taking time from us as well. Because he works through breaks he can't call me on breaks and because he is held over every night he can't come up for awhile before I go to bed because it is too late. Then on Saturday he has to sleep half of the day. So we are only getting a day to a day and a half together. This has taken a BIG toll on our relationship. I would like you to Pray that they will either change to a straight 8 hour shifts or to an 8 hour swing shift Monday through Friday or a 12 hour straight shift with him being on day light or a new job outside of that company with daylight hours. Plus Please Pray for me to be able to get through this until a change takes place. It is hard being in a relationship with someone you can only talk to and see 1 to 1/12 days per week!
